Buckeye Graduate

A friend of mine asked me to make a graduation card for her daughter-in-law who recently graduated from The Ohio State University. As a Buckeye alumna myself, I understand what a happy occasion this is...making it through all of those hoops. I immediately thought of this precious image from Sassy Cheryl's called, "Frantic Graduate Girl". I love how the image conveys pure jubilation, and a sigh of relief (LOL!).

I printed the image on Georgia Pacific cardstock and cut the image panel with a Nestabilities die. I colored the image with Copic markers (as I watched our beloved Buckeyes squeak by Illinois). I then added a little faint background clutter to the image with a couple of star/dot images from Stamps by Judith, which I stamped with Hero Arts Shadow Grey dye. I placed the image on patterned paper and framed with more black and white cardstock. Star brads were randomly placed on the card and the Ohio State sentiment is actually from a piece of ribbon.

I am using this card for Sassy Cheryl's current challenge, Challenge #31, which is to make a card using my favorite image from Sassy Cheryl's. Silly challenge, because there is absolutely no way I could deem just one image my favorite. I love them all!
