Bird Song

It's Monday! What better way is there to make a Monday more bearable, than with a Stamp of the Week from Repeat Impressions?  This week’s SOTW is called "Bird Song" (1702-N). The SOTW is available exclusively to Repeat Impressions blog readers at 50% OFF with the special discount code from Monday, April 22 to Sunday, April 28. To get the discount code and more information about the SOTW, please go to the Repeat Impressions blog, The House That Stamps Built.

To make my card, I stamped the Repeat Impressions image of "Bird Song" with Marvy black dye ink onto X-Press It cardstock.  I colored the image with Copic markers.  I cut the image panel with a Nestabilities die and paper pierced around it.   A frame for the image was cut from a Nestabilities die as well.

The large patterned paper panel is from Darcie and the scrap of blue pattern paper is from Lasting Impressions.  Paper piercing and faux stitching with a colored pencil was done around the larger panel.  Sheer white ribbon and a bow and small glass beads were added to complete the details of this springtime card.

USA

It's Wednesday, which means it is time for a "What If? Wednesday Sketch".  You have two weeks to enter your card using the sketch posted on the Repeat Impressions blog...The House That Stamps Built.  All participants will have a chance to win a $25 Repeat Impressions gift certificate.  I hope you'll play along with us.

This week the sketch looks like this:

I made this card right after the attack in Boston, so I went a patriotic.  I feel so helpless about what happened, it was really all I could do.

Using Tombow markers, I directly applied ink to the Repeat Impressions image "USA" (3702-G) onto a white cardstock triangle cut from a Nestabilities die.  I added a star brad and framed the triangle with black cardstock.

Patterned paper from The Paper Studio and red cardstock form the layers of this card.  White stars were punched and randomly spread over the red layer.  I added a scalloped border cut from white cardstock using a MFT die-namics die.  A sheer white ribbon and bow was added.

The sentiment is also from Repeat Impressions.  It is called "Here's To You" (3703-H) and it was stamped with Marvy black dye ink.

My prayers to all of those affected by this tragedy.

Weenie

Repeat Impressions Rock Star Christy Schumacher challenged us to make a CAS card for the latest Designer's Choice Challenge.  Every little flower I color will get us one step closer to spring, right?  You can read all about this challenge on the Repeat Impressions blog, The House That Stamps Built.

To make my card, I sponged the spotlight onto X-Press It cardstock with SeaShells Conch Shell dye.  I drew a line with a Memento Tuxedo Black marker for the floor.  Then, I stamped the Repeat Impressions image of "Weiner Dance" (7119-F) with Marvy black dye into the scene and colored with Copic markers.  I added a little shadow with Copic markers also.  The sentiment is also from Repeat Impressions and is called "Weenie" (7026-C). A black ribbon and bow put the finishing touches on this CAS card.

Baby Boy Polaroid

It's Monday! What better way is there to make a Monday more bearable, than with a Stamp of the Week from Repeat Impressions?  This week’s SOTW is called "Baby" (1607-I). The SOTW is available exclusively to Repeat Impressions blog readers at 50% OFF with the special discount code from Monday, April 8 to Sunday, April 14. To get the discount code and more information about the SOTW, please go to the Repeat Impressions blog, The House That Stamps Built.

I stamped "Baby" with Memento Desert Sand onto X-Press It cardstock.  I colored with Copic markers, just experimenting a bit with the no lines technique.  I framed the image with a polaroid frame cut from a jillian vance {die}signs die.

Patterned paper from DCWV form the strip of plaid paper, and the blue patterned paper is from an unknown source (sorry!).  I paper pierced it and faux-stitched it with a colored pencil.  A sheer blue ribbon and some random buttons put the finishing touches on this card.
