Sunflower Trio

A Jillian Vance Design, Kecia Waters

Gasp!  No Copics on this.  The color was sponged onto the sunflowers.  I simply sponged Adirondack Sunshine Yellow and Adirondack Butterscotch onto these sunflowers from A Jillian Vance Design's "Hello Sunshine" stamp set.

The flowers were stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-Press It cardstock.
I brayered Adirondack Sailboat Blue and Distress Ink Faded Jeans onto a strip of white cardstock to create a blue gradient.  The strip was framed with black cardstock and placed onto a white card front.

The sentiment is also from AJVD's "Hello Sunshine" stamp set and was stamped using Versafine Onyx Black.

I pop-dotted the sunflowers onto the card to give them dimension.  Yes, I cut them out individually with detailed scissors.  Really.

Life Is Good

Sassy Cheryl's, Kraftin Kimmie, Kecia Waters, Copic markers

Fun, bright summertime colors make me happy.  So, this card makes me happy.  Nothing better than a pool with beverage in hand.  Make mine a double-shot of vanilla, LOL.

The adorable image is from Kraftin Kimmie's "Totally Tubular" stamp set, illustrated by Cheryl Grant.  I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press It cardstock and colored with Copic markers.  The little sun in the corner is from DJ Inkers.  It too was colored with Copics.  A Nestabilities circle die was used to cut the circle panel, and a MFT die-namics die cut the grass out of green cardstock.  I can't remember who makes the patterned paper used for the panel, but I can tell you I bought it at JoAnn's.

The sentiment is also from "Totally Tubular."

Perfect for an Anything Goes Challenge, don't you think?  Therefore, I'm entering it into the Anything Goes Challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie's Wonderful Wednesday Facebook Challenge.

Christmas In July

A Jillian Vance Design, Whimsie Doodles, Kecia Waters, Copic markers

A Jillian Vance Design made me do it, LOL!  It's "Christmas in July" on the AJVD blog this week, and I'm first up with this card.  I made it with the set "Happy Trails" by Whimsie Doodles.  Not thought of as a Christmas set, but just look at what it can do!

Kecia Waters, Copic markers

To make this card, I simply brayered Ranger's Adirondack Sailboat Blue and Distress Ink Faded Jeans onto white cardstock.  With a paint brush, I added dots of Copic White to appear like falling snow in the sky.  I tore some white cardstock to put at the base of my scene to appear as snow.  The trees, stars and bear are all from AJVD's "Happy Trails" by Whimsie Doodles and were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press It cardstock.  I colored these elements with Copic markers and fussy cut with detailed scissors to become part of the scene.  I added the string of lights from Jolee's.  I framed the scene with black cardstock and put onto a white cardstock base.

The sentiment is from AJVD's "Miss Adventures: Celebrate" by Whimsie Doodles.  That was stamped with my go-to sentiment ink, Tsukineko's Versafine Onyx Black.

Now back to summer.  I am in no way ready to start making Christmas cards on a regular basis.  Nice to know I have one done though, LOL.

Have a wonderful hot, sticky, warm, SUMMER day!

Best Hugger Award

Whimsy Stamps, Kecia Waters, Copic markers

Isn't this image the sweetest thing ever?!  And pretty close to doggone perfect?!  If only it was a dachshund, but as you know, I color all dogs to look like Sloopy, LOL.

I must live in a box because I just saw this image by Sandy Allnock last weekend, and I had to have it immediately.  I was able to get it at Whimsy Stamps.  And, I'm in LOVE with it.  I've learned Sandy Allnock is discontinuing her line, which is probably a good thing for her, because I would be pestering her to do one of Sloopy, LOL.

Anyway, here are the deets:  I stamped the ADORABLE image from Whimsy Stamps called "Sandy & Ciara" with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press It cardstock.  I colored the image with Copic markers.  I kept the layout rather CAS.  The patterned paper is from The Paper Studio, I think.  The sentiment is also a part of the stamp set.  I stamped it, and colored with a Copic markers as well.

Oh Sandy...if you ever reopen your line:

All-Star Break

Kraftin Kimmie, Sassy Chery's, Kecia Waters, Copic markers, baseball
So, it's the all-star break.  That means a lot to my husband, and not a thing to me, LOL.  I actually went to a Cincinnati Reds game last week with him.  I got as red as this guy's hat.  Little toasty up in those bleachers, LOL.  Bottle of water was the best $4.50 I've ever spent.

This card was made using Kraftin' Kimmie's "You've Got Game" by Cheryl Grant.  Cute, cute, cute!  I stamped the image onto Neenah cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I colored the image using Copic markers.  I cut around the image with a Nestabilities die, and paper pierced around the circle, framing it with black cardstock.

The layers of this card include patterned paper from The Paper Studio and Basic Grey.  It too was paper pierced and framed with black cardstock.  Faux stitched with a colored pencil.

The sentiment is also from Kraftin' Kimmie's "You've Got Game", and was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black onto a flag cut with a MFT die-namics die.  A button and hemp twine complete the card.

The layout of this card was inspired by the current challenge #234 on the Kraftin' Kimmie blog.

This card is going, going......into the Etsy shop!

Seas Everyday

This mermaid remains a favorite image of mine to color.  It is from A Jillian Vance Design's "Seas the Day" by Whimsie Doodles.

The circle was sponged with Adirondack Pool dye ink, with the mermaid being fussy cut and placed into the circle.  Some paper piercing, dry embossing on Bella Blvd paper are some of the special deets on this card.  The mermaid was colored with Copic markers. Her shimmer is compliments of Crystal Stickles.

Love coloring her hair.

I'm thinking it is a good thing this chick lives in the water.  Wouldn't her hair take forever to dry, LOL.  It does take forever to color!  But so relaxing and worth it!

Come back tomorrow.  Another card awaits you.

Put Your Game Face On

Sassy Cheryl's, Kecia Waters, Copic markers

I'm am desperately looking for my lost mojo.  I can't seem to find it.  Please let me know if you've seen it.  This is what I get for bragging a couple weeks ago that I was a card making machine, LOL.

Any way, this card makes me smile and will hopefully bring a smile to your face too.  Adorable image is from Sassy Cheryl's and is called "Put On Your Game Face, Sally".   The sentiment is from Darcie.

Mojo...where are you?

OH-IO

Not rushing the summer at all.  At all.  However, when I saw this new adorable image from Sassy Cheryl, I just had to turn her into a Buckeye fan.  Just had to do it.

The digital image is from Sassy Cheryl's and is called "Hello There Neighbor".  She drew it to help celebrate the opening of her new Facebook page called "Sassy Cheryl's Neighborhood".  Have you moved in yet?  What are you waiting for?

I'm thinking you can guess how I made this card, if you've ever been to my blog.  You know the deets.  What you might not know is the patterned paper is from The Paper Studio.  The football is from Art Gone Wild.  And the O-H-I-O is from A Jillian Vance Design.

Thanks for visiting my blog today!  Now, get yourself over to the 'hood!

Dunno Ducky

High Hopes, Kecia Waters, alcohol markers

So happy to be a Guest Designer today for the High Hopes Rubber Stamps blog.  I've been a fan of their cute images for a long time.  But, I confess...when I was told what this week's challenge theme was going to be (baby card), I thought I "Dunno" what to do for that.  And then I remembered the adorable "Dunno Ducky" from High Hopes.  He seemed happy to sit in on a baby card.

For the card, I stamped "Dunno Ducky"  onto X-Press It cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black.  I colored the ducky with Copic markers and Spectrum Noir markers.  (I think the Spectrum Noir yellows are better than Copic yellows...personal preference).  I cut the duck out with detailed scissors.

On a circle cut with a Nestabilities circle die, I sponged SeaShells Cloudy blue and Adirondack Lettuce to create a little scene.  I then placed Dunno Ducky into the scene.

The patterned paper for this card is from Reflections.  A button with Baker's Twine and a little bottle charm adorn this card.  The sentiment was stamped on a strip of white cardstock and is from Hero Arts.  It was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black.

Thanks so much to High Hopes for letting me play as Guest Designer this week!  Their blog has a weekly challenge, so you too can join in on the fun.
