Springtime Flower

Dare 2B Artzy, Kecia Waters, Copic markers, flower

I thought I'd share this CAS card today in an effort to get spring to come here and stay.  The flower image is from Dare 2B Artzy, a local stamp company based in the Columbus area.  I got some goodies from their booth this past weekend at the Memories Expo, and I must say that I really liked coloring this flower.

The flower image is from the Dare 2B Artzy stamp set "Tangle Jumpstart".  I stamped the flower with Memento Tuxedo Black image onto Neenah Solar Crest Cardstock.  I colored the image with Copic markers.

The patterned paper strip is from my drawer of scraps, along with what is becoming my signature button with Baker's Twine finishing touch.

Happy Spring!  Have a wonderful week!

Ladybug Bunny

Sassy Cheryl's, Kecia Waters, Copic markers, Easter bunny

March wasn't a papercrafting month for me.  I wanted it to be, but I got busy, and got sick, and finally end the month with some coloring time.  Feels great to have a marker in my hand again.

This adorable little bunny is a new image from Sassy Cheryl's called "Ladybug Bunny".  I printed it onto Hammermill Color Copy paper and colored it with Copic markers.

The sentiment is from A Jillian Vance Design.  I couldn't believe how perfectly it fit onto the flower pot.  I stamped it with Versafine Onyx Black

I scored around the image, and placed onto a card panel of Pebbles patterned paper.  I added a pink sheer ribbon and bow, along with an enamel dot.

Stay tuned.  I really colored this weekend, LOL.

Thanks for sticking with me during my online absense.

I'll Be Darned

A Jillian Vance Designs, AJVD, Kecia Waters, Derwent Inktense
I'll be darned.  It's another card using my Derwent Inktense Pencils.  I'm loving the bright colors and how easy it is to add a background color to a scene. And for whatever reason, I really like the look I can accomplish on those spools of thread.

You can read all about this card over on the A Jillian Vance Blog today. This card features the set "I'll Be Darned" designed by Becky Schultea for AJVD.  Here's the inside of the card:

Perfect for a belated birthday wish.

Speaking of belated...I'm thinking spring is rather belated.  We had ANOTHER weekend of snow here.  So. Done. With. Winter.

I'd Take Some Raindrops

At this point I'd be happy with a little rain, wouldn't you?  It's snowing here AGAIN, so I'm trying to at least battle the winter blues in my stamp room.

This card was created using the Kraftin' Kimmie stamp set "Rainy Day Fun!", illustrated by the great Cheryl Grant.  I colored the image with Copic markers, and added some UTEE with cheap glue stick and applied heat with my heat gun to get the raindrops effect on the umbrella.  The sentiment is from the set as well.  Patterned paper was a scrap and is a mystery to me.  A couple embellishments include a button with Baker's Twine and a mini button.

By the way, this card is heading into my Etsy store, Cards By Kecia.  I'm thinking it will make a great encouragement card for someone feeling blue.

All right now.  I must go out and shovel the driveway.  (Huge sigh).
