Spring Has Sprung!

Kecia Waters, Copic markers, spring

It is the last day of March!  This was a March that had more cold days, than warm.  And a March that had several snows.  And since it is Designer's Choice week over at A Jillian Vance Design,  I'm taking matters into my own hands and having March end "like a lamb" with this bright, springtime card.

To make this card, I stamped AJVD's  "Sunburst Swirl Background Builder Stamp" with Adirondack Sunshine Yellow dye ink onto white cardstock.  I trimmed and frame it with black cardstock.

I stamped tulips three times from "Spring in Bloom Stamp Set by Becky Schultea" with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press It cardstock.  I colored with Copic markers and cut around these images with detailed scissors.

I arranged these elements, along with a strip of patterned paper from Doodlebug Designs onto a piece of kraft cardstock.

I stamped the sentiment, also from the "Spring in Bloom Stamp Set by Bucky Schultea" with Versafine Onyx Black.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today!  I wish you a very lamb-like day, LOL!

He Has Risen

Kecia Waters DRS Designs

Here's another card I'd like to share with you.  Isn't it amazing what I can get done during Spring Break?  Seems like I have a blog post every day.

To make this card, I brayered Adirondack Sunshine Yellow dye onto a piece of white cardstock.  I sponged Adirondack Butterscotch and Adirondack Sunset Orange dye inks along the bottom of the cardstock.

I stamped the DRS Designs image of "Three Wooded Crosses" onto the cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I colored the image with a black Copic marker, so the crosses and ground appeared to be silhouette.  I then stamped the DRS Designs "He Has Risen!" with Versafine Onyx Black.

For the bright sun in the corner, I sponged on Brilliance Moonlight White.

I framed the card with black cardstock.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today!

Bunny Gets A Home

Sassy Cheryl's, Kecia Waters, Copic

Don't forget...there's still time to enter the challenge over on the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog.  The challenge is to show your layers.  Easy enough, right?  A random participant will receive two free digital images from the Sassy Cheryl's shop.  What are you waiting for?

For this card, I printed the Sassy Cheryl's image of Bunny Gets A Home onto X-Press It cardstock.  I colored the image with Copic markers and cut the oval using a Nestabilities die.  Patterned paper from Doodlebug Designs was used to form the layers on this card.

The sentiment is from DRS Designs and is called the "Somebody Loves You Greeting".  It was stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black onto a flag cut from a MFT die-namics die.

I cut two small hearts with a punch, and added a button and Baker's Twine for the finishing touches to this card.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today!

A Birthday Lollipop

Kecia Waters copic

Here's a "sweet" image that was fun to color.

I colored this adorable digital image from Tiddly Inks called "Summer Sweet Wryn" with Copic markers after I printed the image on X-Press It cardstock.  I added some Diamond Stickles to the lollipops to add some sparkle.

The patterned paper strip is from TPC Studio.  I added some Bakers Twine, a button and some pink rhinestones to add to the fun of this card.  I framed the card with pink cardstock.

The sentiment is from a $1 Studio G set from Michaels and was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black.

The Tiddly Inks Challenge blog is hosting a Birthday Challenge, so I'm thinking this card would fit in nicely.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today.  I hope your day is sweet!

Hello

Kecia Waters, Copic markers, Mo Manning

Mo Manning of Mo's Digital Pencil gave her Facebook followers a portion of one of her images to color.  It was a blast to color and I made it into this card.

I printed the image onto X-Press It cardstock.  I colored with Copic markers, added a little "noise" with a dot stamp from Stamps By Judith and ColorBox Ice Blue chalk ink.  The sentiment is from My Favorite Things.

The green striped patterned paper was a scrap (sorry, source unknown).

I hope to get lots of coloring done this week, as it is spring break time.  Expect more blog posts to follow this week.

Some Bunny Loves You

Here's an Easter card for that special someone.

To make this card, I cut a heart from a Nestabilities die from white cardstock.  Using the negative, I paper pierced around the heart and place it on top of a piece of pink cardstock.

I stamped the DRS Designs "Big Bunny Face" with Memento Tuxedo Black onto a piece of X-Press It cardstock.  I colored the image with Copic markers and cut around the image.  I then placed the image inside the heart, as if it is peeking out.

The sentiment is also from DRS Designs.  It is called "Some Bunny Loves You Greeting" and was stamped using Versafine Onyx Black.  I added a button and some Baker's Twine.

Thanks for visiting my blog today!  Have a great weekend!

Down on the Farm

Kecia Waters

This week you'll find Sally "down on the farm".

It is time for another challenge on the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog.  For the next two weeks, we want to see your "layers".  Make sure to play along for your chance to win two free digital images of your choice.

To make this card, I printed the Sassy Cheryl's image of "Farmer Sally" onto X-Press It cardstock.  I colored the image with Copic markers.

Layers of paper include kraft, tan cardstock, My Mind's Eye, and The Good Life.  The sentiment seemed perfect and is from My Favorite Things.  I added a button with hemp twine for a finishing touch.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today.  Now get over to the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog to join in on the fun.

Egg Artist

Kecia Waters

Isn't she sweet?  Callie is getting a head start on the egg coloring that needs to get done for Easter.  And speaking of coloring, she was a blast to color.

Callie is from the digital stamp set "Callie's Busy Day" from Sassy Cheryl's.  I colored her with Copic markers and framed the image with pink cardstock.  The patterned paper panel is from  American Crafts and it too is framed with pink cardstock.  I added a sheer pink bow, pink button, and Baker's Twine to complete the card.

You still have just a little bit of time to play in the two week challenge "Anything Goes" over at the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge blog.  You could win two free digital images of your choice.

Praying Bunny

I'm pleased to be bringing you this adorable "Praying Bunny" from DRS Designs.  I paired it with "Blooming Easter Greeting".

To make this card, I stamped the image with Memento Desert Sand dye ink onto X-Press It cardstock.  I colored the image using Copic markers using the no lines technique.  The sentiment is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black.

A punch rounded the corners.

I placed the image panel onto kraft cardstock, and added a sheer white ribbon, button and Baker's Twine for the finishing touches.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Ladybug Flower

It's Tuesday!  And it is a Tuesday where another challenge on the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog begins.   The theme for this two week challenge is "Anything Goes", so not matter what you make, it'll work this time around. Two free digital images will be awarded to a random participant, so get busy!

I need spring, so I decided to created this card using "Ladybug Flower" from the Sassy Cheryl's digital set of "Whoopsie, Bears and Flowers".  And I decided to use my neglected Prismacolor pencils on this one (no gamsol).  I simply printed the image onto Georgia Pacific cardstock, colored with my Prismacolor pencils, and spray with workable fixative.

I framed the image with black cardstock and placed on a card panel of patterned paper from Doodlebug Designs.  I added some Baker's Twine and a white button.

Come on, Spring!  Get here!  We welcome you with open arms, LOL!

Have a great week.

Sending Happy Thoughts of Spring

My camera wasn't very cooperative in capturing the pink card panel, but I thought I'd share this with you any way.  I'm thinking most of you would take any thing spring related at this point.  WHEN WILL THIS WINTER EVER END?

I stamped the tulip from A Jillian Vance Design's Spring In Bloom set with Memento Tuxedo black ink onto X-Press It cardstock.  I colored with Copic markers and fussy cut with detailed scissors. I stamped the butterflies, colored with Copic markers and fussy cut.  I added highlights with Diamond Stickles.

I cut a circle with a Nestabilities die.  I paper pierced around the circle.

I stamped the sentiment from the Hello Sunshine set, also from A Jillian Vance Design, Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a strip of white cardstock.

I arranged and adhered all elements onto patterned paper (sorry, source unknown). I paper pierced this larger panel and rounded the corners with a punch.  I added three white brads.

I'm going to keep making springtime cards.  It's got to work eventually, right?!
