The Ball Drop

I know it seems a bit early for this, but I had this idea a few weeks ago and wanted to see if could make a card to match my idea.  I succeeded.

You can read all about this card on my last post for A Jillian Vance Design on the AJVD blog.

Weigh In

Sassy Cheryl's, Kecia Waters, Copic markers

This card was made using the adorable digital image of "Sally's Weigh In" from Sassy Cheryl's.  I printed the image onto X-Press It cardstock and colored with Copic markers.  The sentiment is an old $1 stamp from Michael's.

My face looks exactly like Sally's right now.  Time to chug water, eat less and move more.

Happy 2016 to everyone visiting my blog! Wishing you happiness and health this new year!

A Great Year Ahead

Sassy Cheryl's, Kecia Waters, Copic markers

I got out some bright oranges, greens and blues and had some fun coloring up the digital stamp "All About Dad" by Cheryl Grant.  It is available from Sassy Cheryl's stamps and Squigglefly.  I'm thinking it is a perfect image for New Years or a Birthday card.  I paired it with a new sentiment from Squigglefly called "Best of the Year".

Playing along with the Squigglefly blog's current challenge, "Make a Square Card", I printed the image and sentiment and colored with Copic markers.  I placed the image panel a bright blue sheet of cardstock, and sponged some circles with Distress Ink Tumbled Glass with a stencil.  A happy accident of a small scrap of orange and white striped paper from The Paper Studio was placed along the bottom of the card.  An orange enamel dot, sheer white ribbon and crystal beads put some fun finishing touches on this card.

Thanks for visiting my blog today!

Let's Party Like It's 2014

It's time to party like it's 2014, because it is.  Gosh, I remember when we used to sing "it's time to party like it's 1999" and I remember when that seemed to be way in the future.  Time sure has a way of passing.

Hopefully, you'll resolve to play in this week's Sassy Cheryl's Challenge, "Sparkle and Shine".  One lucky participant will win two free digital images of their choice from "Sassy Cheryl's".

For my card, I printed the Sassy Cheryl's image of "Let's Party" (Sally) onto X-Press It cardstock.  I colored the image with Copic markers.  I cut the image panel into a circle with a Nestabilities die, using the out-of-the-box technique.  The sentiment is from a Studio G dollar stamp.

Layers were made with patterned paper from Doodlebug Designs.  Using numbers from My Favorite Things "Vanity License Plate Stamp Set", I stamped the "2014" with Versafine Onyx Black.  I added some Diamond Stickles to these numbers, and highlighted some of the image with Diamond Stickles.  All layers were framed with black cardstock.

A clear button and Baker's Twine put the finishing touches on this card.

Here's wishing you all a very sassy new year!  Thank you so much for visiting my blog this year, and I sure hope you'll continue into 2014.  I do appreciate you taking the time to look at my creations.

Goodbye 2010

All good things must come to an end, and I guess that rings true for the year 2010. How awesome a year it was...our wedding was wonderful and we had much happiness and the fortune of good health.

I can only hope 2011 is as great, and thought I would celebrate its arrival with this card. I made it with a digital freebie from Tiddly Inks. So cute!!! I printed the baby in the hat onto Georgia Pacific cardstock and colored with Copic markers. I then proceeded to cut the image out with Cutter-bee scissors.

Patterned paper from Hot Off the Press provide the background panel along with black cardstock. I did a little paper piercing and added a pre-cut black scalloped border from Bazzill along the side. The sentiment is from a Studio G $1 stamp, and the year was handwritten by me with a white gel pen. A little background "noise" or "clutter" was provided with a couple of stamps from Stamps by Judith, stamped randomly with Distress Ink Fire Brick red dye ink and Hero Shadow Ink Silver. A little curly party ribbon completes the card.

Here's wishing you a very Happy 2011. I so appreciate you visiting my blog and allowing me to share my creations with you. Many, many thanks!
