Just a quick Valentine's Day card to sent with you, featuring the digital image of "Letter Sent with Love" from Sassy Cheryl's.

Colored with Copic markers, and then fussy cut.  The sentiment panel uses a stamp from Hero Arts, stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  The patterned paper panel is from TPC Studio.

This made was made for the current (and last) challenge over on the Squigglefly Challenge Blog

So glad you dropped by my blog today!  Have a fabulous week.

National Championship Shaker Card

On week ago today, my beloved Buckeye beat Oregon to become undisputed National Championships.  I am still basking in the glow, as you can imagine.  And truth be told, probably will be for some time.  It is hard to win a National Championship.  There have been MANY talented teams that have not.  Everything has to be lined up right, and this year it was magically so for us.

To celebrate, I made this shaker card using lots and lots of A Jillian Vance Design supplies.  AJVD feeds my Buckeye soul, LOL.  You can read all about how I made this card on the A Jillian Vance Design blog, right here.

This card was inspired by the yellow confetti last Monday night, as I truly thought it should have been scarlet and gray.  It looked like the fine folks at AT&T Stadium was thinking the Ducks were going to win, as was the rest of the world.  These scarlet and gray sequins from AJVD make me very happy.

I printed the photo at Walgreens.  No, I wasn't fortunate enough to be at the game.  And golly, wouldn't even be in the position to take such an awesome photo.  Special thanks to Eleven Warriors for the mighty fine shot.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today, and THANK YOU SO MUCH BUCKEYES FOR AN AMAZING SEASON!

Life is Good at the Beach

Sassy Cheryl's, Kecia Waters, Copic markers
It's only mid-January, and I have already started making my stress-reliever-I-want-to-be-at-the-beach cards.  It's going to be a long 7 months, LOL.

To make this card, I printed an image from Sassy Cheryl's "Callie Celebrates" digital stamp set onto Hammermill Color Copy.  I colored the image with Copic markers, added the sun by sponging SeaShells Conch Shell, added the white caps and polka-dots with a Uniball Signo White pen, and stamped a sentiment from Kraftin' Kimmie with Memento Desert Sand.

A happy, relaxing way to spend a Saturday night listening to songs from the 70's.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today.

Go Buckeyes!

Sassy Cheryl's, Kecia Waters, Copic markers

Today's the day!  May there be lots of scarlet and gray confetti and balloons by the end of the day!

Go Buckeyes!  Beat Oregon!

This card was made by enlarging the Sassy Cheryl's digital image of "Little Heart Balloon", printing it, and only using a portion of it.  I've been wanting to try something like this, and I do believe I love it.  I colored her with Copic markers, and of course all of the accessories needed to be scarlet and gray.

The sentiment in the bow, and the "Go Bucks" is from my favorite A Jillian Vance Design stamp set called "Ohio Game Day".  The fun scarlet and gray sequins are from there as well.  They are new, so grab them while you can.

I made this card to play along with the current challenge on the Squigglefly Challenge Blog, anything goes.  Hope you join us.  And, while your at Squigglefly, you can pick up Cheryl's image there too.

And since we're in Dallas, let's hope and pray the Buckeyes pick up some of that beautiful hardware!  Say a little prayer!

Shut The Duck Up!

Sassy Cheryl's, Kecia Waters, Ohio State
My blog has been quiet as of late.  I've been wanting to do something for the upcoming National Championship game, but too afraid of the "jinx" factor.  But I've got friends doing it, both Buckeyes and Quacks, so I went for it.

Here's my latest creation, and I must say...I love it.  I love the very idea of it, and I hope, hope, hope this comes true.  Nothing is sweeter than winning a National Championship, and my beloved Buckeyes have worked so hard to overcome many obstacles.  Can a little duck keep us from that coveted trophy?  I hope not.

I made this card using the Sassy Cheryl's image of "Touchdown".  I paired it with an image of a dead duck, found with the assistance of a Google image search.  The sentiment is from a sentiment set from There She Goes.  It was screaming to be included on this card, I hope you are not offended.  (Really, as of right now, I find Oregon fans to be nice and not obnoxious).  There's a button, some scarlet and gray twine from A Jillian Vance Design, and the patterned paper is from The Paper Studio.  All elements came together perfectly, just as this season did.

Disclaimer...I have nothing really against the Ducks.  YES, I WANT TO WIN, but should we not, I am content with Oregon getting it.  I'm just crazy happy it won't go to the SEC.  OSU had the thrill of beating Alabama last week.  It was sweet!  In a way, it was the main course.  Tomorrow's game is the dessert.  A very, very, sweet desert.  Any you all know how I crave sweets!

(Not a Buckeye fan?  Go to my friend Sue Kment.  She has some wonderful eye-candy to satisfy any Duck.

Go Buckeyes!!!   Beat Oregon!!

Silhouette Cupid

Post is up over on the A Jilllian Vance Design blog about this card.  It features the set "True Love", which is a *must* have set for Valentine's Day.

Back to work I go after having two weeks off.  Once I get back into a routine, I'll seem more pleasant, LOL.

Have a great week!
