Halloween Accessories

Happy Halloween!

One of my favorite things about Halloween are the colors.  I guess this card tries to capture the fun of Halloween colors.

All stamps are from DRS Designs (right now the website is down, so I am sorry I can't provide links directly to the stamps used).  I can share with you that I stamped the main image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto white cardstock.  I colored the image with various colored pencils and used Pan Pastels for the bright orange background.  I added some reddish-orange dots with a Tombow marker.  I framed the image with black cardstock.

The chevron background was stamped using Whispers Savoy Green.  I paper pierced around this panel and faux stitched with a colored pencil.  I added a bow, and the sentiment which is also from DRS Designs.

Hope you have all of your Halloween accessories ready, from candy to costumes.  Enjoy this fun day and thank you for visiting my blog.

Fall Pumpkin

This week on the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog we are "Giving Thanks".  You be thankful if you play along because a lucky participant will receive two free digital images from the Sassy Cheryl's store

I printed the Sassy Cheryl's digital image of "Sally's Fall Pumpkin" onto X-Press It cardstock.  I colored it with Copic markers, and then used the out-of-the-box technique on a partial part of Sally's head.

I placed the image panel onto a panel of kraft cardstock that was stamped with "Argyle Background" from DRS Designs with Adirondack Latte dye.  The sentiment is from a small $1 stamp.

An orange button and some hemp put the finishing touches on this card.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today!  I am grateful you stopped by!

Stained Glass Pumpkin

The challenge on the DRS Designs Blog this week is "Pumpkins A Plenty".  'Tis the season!

I actually completed part of my card at work, LOL.  I used an Ellison die cut machine to cut a piece of X-Press It cardstock and a piece of acetate with a pumpkin die.  Then, at home, I stamped the DRS Designs "Large Stained Glass" onto the cut pumpkin with Memento Tuxedo Black.  I then colored the mosaic pieces (RELAXING!) with Copic markers.

I added some Copic oranges also to the piece of acetate and merged it together with the paper via glue.  I tied some hemp onto the stem.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today!

Frankenstein

I just love to make Halloween cards!  I just love the colors of the frightfully delightful season.

This week on the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog, I am hosting a challenge called "Get Your Spook On"...just in case you need an excuse to make a fun Halloween card.  Two free digis from Sassy Cheryl's are up for grabs too, so come on..."Get Your Spook On".

For my card, I stamped the Frankenstein Lulu from Kraftin' Kimmie's "Halloween Lulu" set with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Neenah Solar White Classic Crest cardstock.  I colored the image with Copic markers and cut with my detailed scissors.

Using a Nestabilities oval die, I cut an oval and sponged Adirondack Lemonade and Adirondack Willow dye inks.  I framed with a black cardstock oval, also cut with a Nestabilities die.

On a scrap of lavender patterned paper (sorry, source unknown), I stamped Rubbernecker's "Sleepy Hollow Tree"  with Versafine Onyx Black.  I sponged some Whispers Lilac dye along the top of the scene.  Then, I assembled the card.  The sentiment is also from the Kraftin' Kimmie's "Halloween Lulu" set.

Sunflower Pumpkin Patch

Today, I am sharing a card I made with the DRS Designs image of "Sunflower Pumpkin Patch".  I stamped the image with Memento Desert Sand dye ink onto X-Press It cardstock.  I colored the image with Copic markers.  I sponged some Memento Desert Sand dye ink around the image as well.  I stamped "Count Your Blessings Greeting" from DRS Designs with Versafine Vintage Sepia directly onto the image.

I rounded two of the corners with a corner punch, and the image panel onto a panel of dark kraft cardstock.  This larger panel was stamped with the DRS Designs "Woven Plaid" using Memento Desert Sand dye.

I tied some hemp and adhered a button for the finishing touches of this card.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today!

Autumn Bear

The new challenge at Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog is posted.  This week the challenge is to use punches and/or dies in your creation.

For my card, I printed the Sassy Cheryl's digital image of "Autumn Bear" from the collection "A Bear For All Seasons" onto  X-Press It cardstock.  I colored the image with Copic markers.  With a punch that rounds corners, I rounded the bottom two corners of the image panel.

Using a MFT die-namics die, I cut a scrap of patterned paper from Jillibean Soup and adhered to the upper left corner.  I added a brown button and hemp.  The sentiment is a portion of a DRS Designs sentiment "Happy Fall Y'All Greeting" and was inked with a Memento Tuxedo Black marker.

Sure hope you join us for all of the fun!  You could win free digital images from the Sassy Cheryl's store!

Joyful Noise

I just had to have this image...some images are like that.

I stamped the Penny Black image of "Joyful Noise" onto X-Press It cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I colored the image (FUN!) with Copic markers.

I added some Polar White Flower Soft for the snow on the ground.

The sentiment is from Whipper Snapper.  I rounded the corners with a punch.

CAS for sure, but I like the way the image is the focal point.  No need for distractions on this one.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today!  Have a joyful week!

Sweet Halloween

I love making Halloween cards, though I don't think I have actually sent a Halloween card ever.  Hmm.

This card was made using the trio cupcake image from Impression Obsession's "Inner Witch" set.  I stamped the image onto X-Press It cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black dye.  I colored the image with Copic markers.

I framed the image with black cardstock and placed on a panel of kraft.  The sentiment is also from Impression Obsession.  It is from the set "An Apple A Day" and was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black. A ribbon was added as the final touch for this card.

I made this card for the current Impression Obsession challenge "Colors of Fall".  I was so thrilled to win the last challenge that I must say, I'm hooked!

Happy Fall Y'all

Happy Weekend!  I hope you have something fun planned on this gorgeous fall Saturday.  I have a card to share with you...

I made this card by stamping the DRS Designs image of "Jumping into Autumn" with Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-Press It cardstock.  I colored the image with Copic markers.  I added a hint of crystal Stickles to the leaves to make them sparkle.

The DRS Designs sentiment is "Happy Fall Y'All Greeting" and was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black.

I framed the scene with black cardstock.  The larger panel is a piece of light rust cardstock, with the DRS Designs "Woven Plaid"  using Adirondack Butterscotch dye ink.

Jump into the weekend!  It's finally here!

Inspired by Autumn

It's Thursday!  Time for another challenge on the DRS Designs Blog.  This week the challenge is "Inspired by Autumn".  How easy is that with all of the beautiful fall colors and wonderful autumn images and sentiments available from DRS Designs?!

For my card today, I stamped DRS Designs "Medium Silhouette Leaf"  onto watercolor paper with Kaleideacolor Autumn Leaves dye ink.  I used my waterbrush to move the color around on the leaf.  Then I cut the image with my detailed scissors.

I applied Versamark watermark to the leaf and sprinkled UTEE (Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel) over the leaf.  Using my heat gun, I melted this powder which left a clear shiny finish. I added a button and some hemp.

On a piece of kraft cardstock, I stamped the DRS Designs "Changing Leaves Thanksgiving Greeting"  with Versafine Onyx Black.

Additional layers on the card, include a darker piece of kraft cardstock, and kraft cardstock stamped with DRS Designs "Wooven Plaid" using Distress Ink Old Paper.  I paper pierced and faux stitched with a colored pencil.

Sure hope you are enjoying the fall leaves.  I love the colors this time of year.  I'm leaf obsessed!

Golden Autumn Leaf

For my card today, I stamped DRS Designs "Medium Silhouette Leaf"  onto watercolor paper with Adirondack Sunshine Yellow dye ink.  I picked up some dark orange ink from a Tombow marker and used my waterbrush to move the color around on the leaf.  Then I cut the image with my detailed scissors.

I applied Versamark watermark to the leaf and sprinkled UTEE (Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel) over the leaf.  Using my heat gun, I melted this powder which left a clear shiny finish.  I traced around the leaf with a Krylon gold leafing pen.

On a piece of white cardstock, I stamped the DRS Designs "Changing Leaves Thanksgiving Greeting"  with Distress Ink Wild Honey.  I used a corner punch on two of the corners, and framed it with black cardstock.

The larger card panel is kraft cardstock.  Three black brads complete this CAS card.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today!  Have a wonderful weekend!

Moonlit Halloween

This week on the DRS Designs Blog, we are being challenged to incorporate a moon onto our creation.   Hope you'll join us for all of the fun.

I stamped the DRS Designs image of "Silhouette Haunted House" with Versafine Onyx Black onto a beige cardstock.  I wanted to highlight the moon, so I colored it with colored pencils.  Some light sponging around the card panel was done with Marvy gray dye.

The sentiment is also from DRS Designs and is called "Tiny Happy Halloween".  It was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black as well.

The mummy (new from DRS Designs) was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto white cardstock.  I cut around the mummy with my detailed scissors and added him the the spooky scene with pop-dots.

I framed the scene with black, white and dak purple cardstock.  I stamped the DRS Designs "Polka Dot Background" with Versafine Onyx Black.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today!

"Anything Goes" this week on the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog so you have no excuse not to join us.  The winner will get to select two free digital images from Sassy Cheryl

I love to make Halloween cards, so I went in that direction.  I printed the Sassy Cheryl digital image of "The Good Little Witch" onto X-Press It cardstock.  I colored the image with Copic markers.

Along the sides, I framed the image panel with black cardstock.  I placed onto a larger panel of patterned paper from K&Company.  I added a sheer black bow, black button and some Baker's Twine.

The sentiment, stamped with Versafine Onyx Black, is from My Favorite Things.

As always, thank you for visiting my blog.  It's October, so I'm guessing I will sneak in a couple more Halloween cards.  They are so fun!
