Blooming Rose

AJVD, Kecia Waters, Copic markers, rose
Drive by post today.  I'm so busy, but I wanted to take the time to share a card I made using the beautiful "Blooming Rose Die Set" from A Jillian Vance Design.

You can read all about this card on the AJVD blog today.

Have a great week friends!

Woof You Forever

Gerda Steiner, Kecia Waters, Copic markers, MFT, Pan Pastels, Valentine
I spent most of the past weekend, along with MLK Day, inside with a stuffy nose.  I managed to make it into my stamp room and found a little mojo, which lately has been hiding.

I created this little card just for fun.  It is a hodgepodge of materials and images.  The cute dog is from Gerda Steiner Designs.  The paw prints are a part of a background stamp from My Favorite Things, along with the sentiment.  The dog was colored with Copics, the heart was made using Versamark and Pan Pastels.

All in all, it was a fun card to make, and I am pleased with the results.  A card for the Valentine stash.

Have a great rest of the week!

Lots of Buttons, Lots of Love

AJVD, Kecia Waters, Valentine's Day, buttons, heart, Copic markers
I've been having some mojo problems.  You know, the lack of it.  Maybe I got it back with this Valentine's Day card.

You can read all about this card on the A Jillian Vance Design blog today!

You know the deets...Copic markers, negative of heart die cut as a mask, really CAS.

Thanks for sticking with me.  I'm thinking if I clean and organize my stamp room, my mojo will come back.  I think that might be my problem.

White Calla Lilies

Judikins, Kecia Waters, Copic markers, no line coloring, calla lily, wedding
I was asked to make a wedding card.  I don't think you can go wrong with elegant calla lilies, do you?

I tried my hand at no-line coloring with Copics, stamping the Judikins image with Simon Says Stamp Fog dye ink.  It's no Georgia O'Keeffe, but's it's not terrible. The fancy die cut is actually an old die from Spellbinders.  I have been having fun using older images and supplies lately.

I hope everyone likes it.  I kinda do.

Rock On

Taylored Artwork, Kecia Waters, Prismacolor pencils, cactus, desert
So.

I made this card last week (or I guess I could say "last year") prior to the December 31 Fiesta Bowl.  Having been a stamper that has actually been to three past Fiesta Bowls, I have acquired some southwestern stamps during my visits to Arizona.  This one is from Taylored Artwork.  I stamped it onto Strathmore Bristol Smooth with Versafine Onyx Black and colored with Prismacolor pencils.  The sentiment is from Your Next Stamp.  I thought it was a cute pairing.  As I made this card prior to the game, I was just playing with vibrant colors, my pencils and trying to capture the warmth of the desert.

And then, there was the game.  And I got into a funk because of it.  And I'm just now posting this card.  I still like it because there have been some good times in the desert too.  I'll just hold onto those memories.

And, brace yourselves...I'm cheering for 'Bama on Monday.  I have my reasons.  I'm guessing Curtis Samuel will be cheering for Alabama too.  Roll Tide.   (Never, ever would I have dreamed I'd be saying that!)

Bookmarks

A Jillian Vance Design, Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, bookmarks
I decided to be Santa for myself this year.  I purchased some Zig Clean Color Brush markers.  There is a learning curve with these, and I haven't reached it yet.

Just wanting to play with them, I colored these bookmarks.  The heart stamp is from A Jillian Vance Design, and you can read about these bookmarks on the AJVD blog today.
