You Make My Heart Sing

Kraftin Kimmie, Cheryl Grant, Kecia Waters, Copic markers

This is a Valentine I made using the Kraftin' Kimmie set "You're A Rockstar" by Cheryl Grant.

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press It cardstock.  I colored the image with Copic markers. I masked it with masking film. Then I stamped a large background music stamp from Hero Arts with SeaShells Sandal (note to self, use something darker), and sponged around the image panel.  The sentiment is from the Kraftin' Kimmie set, and the heart was cut from a scrap of Graphic 45 patterned paper, using a Nestabilities die.

This card seems perfect for the current challenge (#261) on the Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog, "Sing A Song".

Thanks SNOW Much

A Jillian Vance Design, Kecia Waters
I found myself needing a thank you card, and I am delighted as to how quickly this one came together.  And, I'm liking that pop of white.

You can read all about this card over on the A Jillian Vance Design blog today.  Here are the highlights:  AJVD Frosty Stamp and Die Collection, an old Observation Survey textbook, kraft cardstock, Bo Bunny scrap, Versafine Onyx Black, and a Memento Tuxedo Black marker.  That's really all you need to know on this CAS card, LOL.

Thanks SNOW much for visiting my blog today.

Blonde and Pink

Tiddly Inks, Kecia Waters, Copic markers, Valentine

I had so much fun coloring Tiddly Inks "You Are On My Mind" on this card yesterday, that I decided to print it again and color it again.  Why not?

Colored with Copic markers. This time I deviated and made her blond (YR20, E34, E35) and used a pink color scheme for the hearts.  The sentiment is from A Jillian Vance Design and stamped with Versafine Onyx Black.   No clue where the patterned paper strip is from, but I wish I had more, LOL.

Not much more to say.  Let's see what else I can color, shall we?  Come back soon.

You Are On My Mind, Valentine

Tiddly Inks, Kecia Waters, Copic markers, Valentine

I've been off a week, and I am just finally sitting down to color.  Talk about needing to de-stress, LOL!

With Christmas over, it is time to move on to cards for the next major holiday.  Here's a Valentine's card I made using "You Are On My Mind" from Tiddly Inks.  I had a blast coloring her, and will probably color her again in a different color scheme when it is all said and done.

Colored with Copics onto Hammermill Color Copy, with a strip of washi tape along the side.  A couple buttons with Baker's Twine complete the card.  Very CAS.

Thanks for visiting my blog today!  Hopefully, you'll be seeing more spontaneous creations like this during the next week, so come back soon!

Dachshund Through The Snow

I present to you the official 2014 Christmas card.  Very few were made, so if you got one from me, consider it a very limited edition, LOL.  Not sure why, but I wasn't really into making Christmas cards this year, even though I like how this one turned out.  Sadly, I think that sending cards at Christmas is a dying art.

Even so, I still enjoy cardmaking, and hope to get my Etsy shop ready for Valentine's Day, Easter and general birthday, anniversary, babies, etc.  I kinda fumbled the ball for Christmas, in terms of my card store.

This card was made with a new stamp set from Newton's Nook.  It is called "Holiday Hounds".  Anyone who knows me, would know that when I saw it I had to have it, LOL.

Anyway, if you are one of the few who come here to my blog, I want you to know how much I appreciate your visits.  I truly make cards because I want someone to look at them and appreciate them as much as I do.

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas.  May your day, and upcoming year be filled with happiness, good health, and a card or two in your mailbox.

Snowman Shaker Card

AJVD, Whimsie Doodles, Kecia Waters, shaker card
Confession...I'm starting to really get into making shaker cards.  Couldn't be any easier to do, thanks to the Sam E. Snowman Shaker Die Set from A Jillian Vance Design.  Today's Monday, so head on ever to the AJVD Blog to read how very simple it is to make a snowman shaker.  Hmm...next year's Christmas cards, perhaps?

Keep stopping by my blog...I've got some time off, so you know what that means...MORE TIME FOR CARD MAKING!  Yay!

Solitary Cardinal

A Jillian Vance Design, Kecia Waters, Whimsie Doodles, cardinal

It's Monday.  That means there's a post over on the A Jillian Vance Design blog detailing how I made this card.  I hope you visit.

Speaking of visits, I hope a cardinal visits me soon.  There's a little story behind this card.  A few days ago online, I saw mention of how cardinals are actually visits from a loved one who has passed.  Two years ago this week, I lost one of my dear friends to pancreatic cancer.  She is on my mind, and in my heart, and I miss her so much.  Out of all my friends, I thinks she appreciated my handmade cards the most. I miss sending her one, and hearing her thank you that followed. I think she would have liked this one.  I hope I see a cardinal in my yard at some point this holiday season.  I would like to think it would be a visit from Karen.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today.

I Got Your Nose

Sassy Cheryl's, Squigglefly, Kecia Waters, multimedia

This card is truly a result of me just playing around.  I printed the digital image of "I Got Your Nose", available from Sassy Cheryl's and Squigglefly, onto kraft cardstock.  I colored the image with a combination of Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils.  I have always loved the pop of white on kraft.  The sentiment is from A Jillian Vance Design and was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black.  The finishing touches on this card are a sheer white ribbon, a button, and some twine.

I made this card to play along over on the Squigglefly Challenge Blog.  It's an easy one...make a holiday card.  Make sure you join in on the fun on Squigglefly's last challenge of the year.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog.  I truly appreciate it, as I know what a busy time of year it is for us all.  Another post in a few hours, so come back soon!

Winter Wonderland

Whimsie Doodles, Kecia Waters, A Jillian Vance Design
Isn't it hard to believe it is December already?  Where has this year gone?  This is a card that I am sharing over on the A Jillian Vance Design blog today.  Make sure you visit to find out how I did this background, okay?

The stamp set I used is AJVD's "Winter Woodland" by Whimsie Doodles, and some good old fashioned sponging.  Minimal Copic work on this, and some dots of Copic White.

Though I am back to work today, I am happy to report I made a serious dent in my Christmas card production over the weekend.  Yay me!

Snow Much Fun

Squigglefly, Kecia Waters, Copic markers

Unless it gives me a day off, I'm not much into the snow.  But this cute little dog sure is.  He's having a blast.

This card features the soon-to-be-released (December 5) digital image from James Horvath called "Dog Tricks".  It will be available from Squigglefly.

I decided to use this image for the current challenge on the Squigglefly Challenge Blog.  The challenge is to create a holiday card, but not use the traditional colors of red and green.

I printed the image on Hammermill Color Copy paper and also printed the image onto masking film.  I cut the mask and put it over my image.  I sponged Distress Ink Peacock Feather onto the card panel and flicked some droplets of water onto the panel.  I added some dots with Copic white to create some snow.  I removed the mask and colored the dog with Copic markers.  I stamped the sentiment from Repeat Impressions with Versafine Onyx Black and added three snowflake charms.

Thanks so much for dropping by my blog today!  Another post in a few hours!
