Pup N' Bone
Here's a card I made about three or four months ago. It occurred to me that I never did share it. It was just a card in my stash that I made for fun. Turns out, it is going to go to the lady who helped watch Sloopy and Gracie (Sloopy's dachshund friend) last week as a thank you. I hope she likes it.
The main image is from Whipper Snapper. It is called "Pup N' Bone". I stamped the image with Marvy black dye ink onto X-Press It cardstock. I colored the cutie with Copic markers. I paper pierced around the image panel and faux stitched with a color pencil. The image panel is framed with black cardstock.
The rest of the card is made of panels of textured beige cardstock and Queen & Company. Both of these where paper pierced, faux stitched and framed in black cardstock as well.
The sentiment is from Impression Obsession and is stamped with Versafine Onyx Black. Finishing touches for this card include a black sheer ribbon and a cute little fire hydrant brad.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog today! I sure appreciate that you take the time to visit!

Harvest Bunny
(If you are looking for the Designer's Choice Challenge for Repeat Impressions, scroll down)
It's Hambo Hoedown time!
This week we were given a sketch to follow:
As you know, I am so sketch challenged. I decided to flip the sketch and that seemed to work better for me.
I printed the Hambo digital image "Harvest Bunny" onto X-Press It cardstock. I colored the image with Copic markers and cut an oval shape around the image with a Nestabilities die. I paper pierced around the image and framed the image with a piece of beige cardstock.
The base of the layout is made from the following patterned papers: My Mind's Eye, Pebbles and Basic Gray (I guess you can say I was feeling a little loopy, LOL!) I framed each strip with beige cardstock and paper pierced around the large panel. I faux stitched with a colored pencil.
The sentiment is from the same Hambo digital image "Harvest Bunny". A Memory Box die cut the loops along the bottom of the card. I added sheer brown ribbon and a bow to the card. And, not sure why...but I liked the look, I added three orange rhinestones onto the pumpkins.
I hope you can join in on all of the fun with us at the Hoedown this week. All of the challenge details can be found right here on the Hoedown Blog. Remember you must use Hambo images to play along...but that's easy to do (there are some freebies here if you don't have any). If you play along this week, you will be sent next week's Hoedown image for free.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog today. And a very Happy Autumn to you, from my patch to yours!

Heart Air Balloon
Love is in the air. Or at least a definite chill is the air around here. Cardmakers always rush the seasons, and so look at me jump to Valentine's Day, LOL!
Time for another Designer's Choice Challenge at Repeat Impressions. Rock Star Patti Gilliam challenged us to use the technique of paper piecing with a Repeat Impressions image. To do this I grabbed the Repeat Impressions image of "Heart Air Balloon" (9114-I) and stamped it with Marvy black dye onto a piece of Echo Park patterned paper. I cut out the heart portion for paper piecing.
Then using the Cricut Paper Pups cartridge, I cut two clouds from Georgia Pacific cardstock. I pop-dotted the smaller cloud onto the larger one. Then I stamped "Heart Air Balloon" (9114-I) again with Marvy black dye directly onto the larger cloud. I then adhered the image on the Echo Park patterned paper onto the cloud. I tied a small bow onto the balloon using Baker's Twine.
I stamped a portion "Love Is In The Air" (9103-G) using a Memento Tuxedo Black marker directly onto the larger cloud. I added a small pink rhinestone next to this sentiment. Then, I added many pearls using my Ice White Pearl Pen.
Then I made my creation into a shape card by tracing my clouds onto a folded piece of cardstock.
Want to see some more paper piecing? Just soar on over to the following Rock Stars:
Have a wonderful day. And don't worry, you have many, many days before you need to run out and get a Valentine. Now, back to the season of fall.

Bulldog
It's Monday! What better way is there to make a Monday more bearable, than with a Stamp of the Week from Repeat Impressions? This week’s SOTW is "Bulldog" (8101-L). The SOTW is available exclusively to Repeat Impressions blog readers at 50% OFF with the special discount code from Monday, September 24 to Sunday, September 30. To get the discount code and more information about the SOTW, please go to the Repeat Impressions blog, The House That Stamps Built.
For my card, I rediscovered how fun it is to color with Copics on coated paper. It truly has been ages ago since I've colored with this paper. I stamped Bulldog (8101-L) with Marvy black dye onto Sterling Ultra Matte 80# coated paper. I colored the image with Copic markers and then cut around the image with my Cutterbee scissors.
I stamped a panel of Georgia Pacific white cardstock with the Repeat Impressions sentiment "Life Without Dogs" (8109-L) using Versafine Onyx Black. I framed this with light brown cardstock. The larger card panel is patterned paper from The Paper Studio. It too is framed with the light brown cardstock. A small bone charm was added to the card as a finishing touch.
My husband always talks about getting bulldog and naming it Brutus. I don't think so....Sloopy will always be the only child. ;-)
I'll just send my husband over to the blogs of the Rock Stars. Perhaps that will satisfy his bulldog needs. Make sure you visit too!
Thanks so much for visiting my blog today! Have a great week!

Barefoot in the Park
Welcome to "Broadway Bound!" sponsored by Hambo Stamps! Today Hambo customers and the Bacon Bits Design Team are bringing you fun creations that depict Broadway show titles! It might be our favorite, or just one that was fun to design. If you arrived here from Jane's you are in the right place! If not, you might want to start back at the beginning at the Hambo blog to make sure you are eligible for the hopper prize!
A prize will be awarded to one participant whose Broadway-themed creation tickles the Bacon Bits’ fancy in a hammin’ jammin’ way! Another prize will be awarded randomly to a hopper who comments on all of the blogs along the way. The winners will be announced on the Hambo company blog, Talk to the Ham, on Tuesday, September 25. We love comments anytime, but the deadline for prize entry comments is Sunday, September 23 at 5 PM CST. Don't miss it!
My creation was inspired by the show "Barefoot in the Park". With Photoshop, I merged the Hambo digital images of "Josephine Puppy" and "Trees". I printed my scene onto X-Press It cardstock and colored the scene with Copic markers. I framed the image with black cardstock. The sentiment was computer-generated to denote the Broadway show. It too is framed with black cardstock. The large card panel is patterned paper from Echo Park and is framed with black cardstock. A black dog paw was added to the card as a finishing detail.
Now dance on over to Melissa's for another great Broadway show!
Here's the hop order in case you need it!
Thanks for visiting my blog today. I hope you enjoy Hambo's Blog Hop!

It's Hambo Hoedown time!
This week, the challenge is "Chevron". I used this bright, fun patterned paper from Stella & Rose to meet this requirement.
I chose to work with the Hambo digital image called "Bird Balloon". I printed it onto X-Press It cardstock and colored it with Copic markers. Using the out-of-the-box technique, I cut the image panel with a Nestabilities oval die. I paper pierced around this oval as well. I framed the image panel with burnt orange cardstock.
Then using the patterned paper from Stella & Rose, I made the large card panel. Paper piercing was done, as well as faux stitching with a color pencil. This panel was framed with burnt orange cardstock.
The Hambo sentiment comes with the digital image of "Bird Balloon" It too was framed with the burnt orange cardstock. A sheer beige bow was placed onto the card as a final touch to the card.
Also, don't forget about a very special blog hop this Friday. The Bacon Bits are going to be hopping with all of our Hambo fans. Should be quite the show!

Classy Sunflower
It's Wednesday, which means it is time for a "What If? Wednesday Sketch". You
have two weeks to enter your card using the sketch posted on the Repeat
Impressions blog...The House That Stamps Built. All participants will have a chance to win a $25 Repeat Impressions gift certificate. I hope you'll play along with us.
This week's sketch looks like this:
This week's sketch looks like this:
I stamped the image of "Sunflower" (4313-K)
with Marvy black dye ink onto X-Press It cardstock. I colored the
image with Copic markers and then cut around the flower with my
Cutter-bee scissors.
Using GORGEOUS patterned paper from Scrapper Dashery, I formed the layout of this card, with each panel being framed by brown cardstock. Really, this paper is doing all of the beautiful work on this card...I take no credit. Being the rebel that I am, I "moved" the three circles to the right side of the card. I used brown brads. I then added a sheer brown ribbon to the area that the smaller strip of the layout is located. The sunflower was then adhered to the card, placed over the two rectangular panels.
Be sure to check out what the other Rock Stars created for this Sketch Challenge.
Have a great day! Thanks so much for visiting my blog.

Cute Dog
Isn't this doggie such a cutie? Kinda reminds me of my Sloopy.
The digital image is from Stamp Fairy and is called "Charlie Happy Life". I printed it onto X-Press It cardstock and thoroughly enjoyed coloring it with my Copic markers. I then framed the image with black cardstock.
The card base is made from patterned paper from The Paper Studio. It too is framed with black cardstock. The sentiment is from a Studio G $1 stamp from Michaels and was stamped using Versafine Onyx black. Black ribbon complete the card.
I made this card for my friend's (Sloopy's sitter) birthday. She really liked it!
Make the best of the rest of the weekend, friends! Thanks for stopping by blog.

Panda Gift
(if you are looking for today's Repeat Impressions Designer's Choice Challenge, scroll down)
This week, the challenge is "Anything Goes". How easy and fun is that? Just see where the process takes you!
I chose to work with this cute Hambo digital image called "Panda Gift". I printed the image onto X-Press It cardstock and colored it with Copic markers. For the white fur, I painted onto the image some Copic Opaque White, which made the white pop a bit, and gave the bear some texture.
I framed this image with black cardstock. The card panel is from a piece of patterned paper with white polka dots on black (sorry, source unknown). I added a ribbon to the card, and then added the Hambo sentiment which came with the digital image as well.
I hope you can join in on all of the fun with us at the Hoedown this week. All of the challenge details can be found right here on the Hoedown Blog. Remember you must use Hambo images to play along...but that's easy to do (there are some freebies here if you don't have any). Black Cat Fright
Time for another Designer's Choice Challenge at Repeat Impressions. Rock Star Joy Hadden challenged us to make a nonstandard sized card using a Repeat Impressions image.
For my card, I went with a 4x4 square. I brayered the following dye inks onto a piece of Georgia Pacific cardstock: SeaShells Cool Peri, Distress Ink Faded Jeans, and Brilliance Mediterranean Blue. Along the bottom of the cardstock, I sponged Whispers Whisper Lilac ink. I took some random gray and green Coloursoft pencils and drew in the grass. Using a Nestabilities circle die, I cut the moon and sponged some Adirondack Sunshine Yellow dye ink. Using a small paper punch of a witch, I punched some black cardstock and place the witch onto the moon.
Finally, using Versafine Onyx Black, I stamped the Repeat Impressions image of "Black Cat" (2322-G) onto my spooky nighttime scene. The cat's eyes were colored with a Lemon atyouSpica pen. The scene's corners were rounded with a punch. I framed the scene with a piece of black cardstock cut with another Nestabilities die. I added a black bow for the final details of this card.
Like I've said before, I love making Halloween cards. This one was a blast too.
Be sure to check out what the other Rock Stars created for this Designer's Choice Challenge.
Have a great day. Here's hoping no black cats appear before you. Bad luck, they say.

Life's a Cinch
It's Monday! What better way is there to make a Monday more bearable, than with a Stamp of the Week from Repeat Impressions? This week’s SOTW is "Inch by Inch" (8410-F). The SOTW is available exclusively to Repeat Impressions blog readers at 50% OFF with the special discount code from Monday, September 10 to Sunday, September 16. To get the discount code and more information about the SOTW, please go to the Repeat Impressions blog, The House That Stamps Built.
Inch by Inch...Life's a Cinch? Hmm. I have to ponder that one, LOL! But, it's a nice thought and could certainly be used to encourage someone who happens to be going through a rough time.
For my card, I stamped "Inch by Inch" onto X-Press It cardstock with Marvy black dye ink. I colored the worm with Copic markers and cut around the image with my Cutter-bee scissors. I then stamped the stamp again onto a piece of kraft. I cut out the sentiment portion of the stamp.
I cut a circle from Crate Paper patterned paper using a Nestabilities die. I then cut the scalloped circle from kraft also using a Nestabilities die. The grass was cut from Chatterbox patterned paper using a die from My Favorite Things. I assembled the scene and added a sheer light brown bow.
Be sure to check out how other Rock Stars used this week's SOTW. You will love their projects.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog today. I hope this week is a cinch for us all!

Mouse Painter
(if you are looking for today's Repeat Impressions sketch challenge, scroll down)
It's Hambo Hoedown time!
This week, the challenge is to incorporate splattered paint in some fashion into our projects. Could be patterned paper, or the actual messy process of splattering paint. You choose how neat or messy you'd like to be.
I went for the fun, messy stuff. Though as I look at my mouse, I wonder how he escaped any paint droplets, LOL! I sure didn't!
For my card, I printed the ADORABLE "Mouse Painter" from the Hambo Digital Stamp Shop onto X-Press It cardstock. I colored him with Copic markers. I cut around this image with my Cutterbee scissors. I just had to add a Block O onto his hat using a Memento Tuxedo Black marker...thus turning him into a Buckeye Mouse....I just HAD to do it! Really.
And then, as I read the sentiments that are included with "Mouse Painter", I decided that any Buckeye fan would paint the town SCARLET and GRAY, so I did a little Photoshopping, and omitted the word "red". I printed this onto scarlet cardstock and hand wrote the colors "scarlet & gray" with a Memento Tuxedo Black marker.
Outside on my deck, I had fun splattering some scarlet and gray acrylic paint onto a white cardstock panel. Once dry, I framed my splattered masterpiece with black cardstock and arranged the Buckeye Mouse Painter onto the card. A small little drop of paint was added to the lower right corner of the card.
When I made this card, I was still on a high from my beloved Buckeyes 56-10 rout against Miami of Ohio. Woot! I'm hoping that Florida grad Monica Hunter (owner of Hambo) and Nebraska Cornhusker fan Judy Rozema (DT coordinator of the Bacon Bits) will forgive me, LOL! I promise to behave at next week's Hoedown.

Moonlight Ride
It's Wednesday, which means it is time for a "What If? Wednesday Sketch". You have two weeks to enter your card using the sketch posted on the Repeat Impressions blog...The House That Stamps Built. All participants will have a chance to win a $25 Repeat Impressions gift certificate. I hope you'll play along with us.
This week's sketch looks like this:
Though at initial glance it may appear like I am still being a sketch rebel, but really not so much this time around. I stamped the Repeat Impressions image of "Halloween Witch" (817-I) onto a X-Press It cardstock. I colored her with Copic markers and cut around the image.
I brayered and sponged the "moon" with Adirondack Lemonade, Adirondack Sunshine Yellow and Marvy Ochre dye inks. I made a couple streaks onto the moon with a gray Copic marker. Then, all over the moon, I sponged some Brilliance Moonlight Pigment Ink onto the moon to give it some light shimmer.
The "sky" is made with a panel of texturized paper from K&Company. Then, with the Mini Monsters Cricut cartridge I cut the two black trees and placed them into my spooky night scene. I added some Baker's Twine for the finishing touches on this card.
My first Halloween card of the season. I think Halloween cards are a blast to make. I know it won't be my last time using this cute little witch, that's for sure! Stayed tuned for more witch flights, LOL!
In the meantime, make sure you visit the other Rock Stars. They have some great interpretations of this sketch. You'll love each and every card!

The Very Hungry Caterpillar
What a great day! My fellow Hambo Stamps Bacon Bit, Carolina Little, is the Featured Stamper today on Splitcoast! I just had to join in the fun!
I absolutely love the cute scenes Carolina makes with her cards. She expertly combines design paper and uses beautiful colors. Go take a peek at her gallery. You'll see what I'm talking about. I tried to do her work justice with my card. I was inspired by this card.
I stamped Hambo's Hungry Caterpillar (2906) onto X-Press It cardstock with Marvy black dye ink. I colored it with Copic markers and then cut around the image. I stamped the image two more times to get some more leaves to add to my scene. I colored and cut those out as well.
Using a My Favorite Things die, I cut two strips of grass with patterned paper from Kaiser Craft. I then used a scrap of blue patterned paper (sorry, source unknown) for my sky. I simply drew the top of the sky's line to form the cloud-like appearance at the top. I added hand-drawn clouds out of white cardstock to the scene. This scene was then placed on a white cardstock panel. I paper pierced the top of the scene, and added a sun that is constructed with a button, Baker's twine and a hand-drawn rays from a piece of patterned paper from Bella Blvd.
The finishing touches include a hand-drawn heart colored with Copics, and the sentiment...which was a portion of a Hampton Arts Stamp that I inked with a Memento Tuxedo Black pen.
Congrats, Carolina on your special day! A well-deserved honor indeed!

Long Awaited Game Day
The day has arrived! The Urban Meyer era officially begins today at Ohio State. As a fan, I'm looking forward to this new chapter in Ohio State football. The last one kind of ended rather poorly. Who would have thought I'd ever be cheering for a guy that caused us the heartache in the desert back in January 2007? Things always have a funny way of working out, don't they?
To commemorate today, I made this Block O card. For the base I used a jillian vance [die]sign from Spellbinders to create the Block O panel. I used black and red cardstock. I paper pierced around the red O and faux stitched with a colored pencil. I then used the same [die]sign to create the Buckeye leaves from patterned paper from American Crafts. I added a brown button for the buckeye, and tied some Buckeye Blend Divine Twine, which is also from a jillian vance.
The football player is a stamp from Rubbernecker Stamps. I stamped it with Marvy black dye ink onto X-Press It cardstock. I colored it with Copic markers and cut around the image with my Cutterbee scissors. I then adhered it to the card.
I hope you all have a wonderful football Saturday. And, just wanted to pass along...that we can all be winners this Labor Day weekend by scoring at the Labor Day sale at Rubbernecker Stamps. Don't miss it! Wonderful papercrafting accessories at 25% off!
