Put On Your Game Face

New in the Sassy Cheryl's digital image store, "Put On Your Game Face - Sally".  I am so pumped to have this image because I've been waiting a good long time for an awesome football image.  Sassy Cheryl sure has delivered this time. And notice that the sample in her store is dressed in scarlet and gray.  LOVE!!!!

This week's challenge over on the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge blog is "Off the Page", meaning some element of the creation must hang off the page.  Easy enough.  Join us this week for your chance to win two free digital images.

I printed "Put On Your Game Face - Sally" onto X-Press It cardstock.  I colored her with Copic markers and added the letters OSU with a Tuxedo Memento Black marker.  I cut the image out with detailed scissors.

The Block O is cut from red cardstock (we Buckeye fans prefer to actually say scarlet) with an emerald cut (die)mond nesting die set from Spellbinders and a jillian vance design.  I also cut some silver cardstock for the backing with the same die. The Buckeye leaves were also cut with this set from green cardstock.  I sponged a bit of Distress Ink Peeled Paint around the edges of the leaves.  A brown button serves as the Buckeye, and is tie with Buckeye Blend Divine Twine, also from a jillian vance.

I stamped the words Ohio State and the sentiment Go Bucks! with the Ohio Game Day Stamp Set, also from a jillian vance design, using Versamark Onyx Black.

All elements of the card were placed on a white square of cardstock, paper pierced and faux stitched.  I framed this with black cardstock and more of the silver cardstock.

Sometimes, I just have to admit it.  I LOVE THIS CARD.  I enjoyed every minute it took to create it.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today.  GO BUCKEYES!

You must know this would catch my eye for sure! Love that new little football player...super cute! I just made a very similar card with Donald Duck instead of this cute image. Used an "o" for Oregon of course...20 birthday invitations...did not make it to my blog though...forgot to take a picture of them darn it! I was told they were 'sic' from the nine year old birthday boy...that meant good I hope LOL!

AWESOME card Kecia! I can't decide what I like best - the layout? the big "O"? the coloring? The buckeye button? Doesn't matter - it's all together a wonderful card!
