Stamping on a Candle

There's a first time for everything.

Repeat Impressions Rock Star Joyce Morien challenged us to use a Repeat Impressions image on "anything other than a card".  I decided to try stamping on a candle for the very first time.

I followed the tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers to learn the process of stamping on a candle.  SO EASY!!! Who knew???!!!

I took a ivory candle from Hobbylobby.  I stamped the image of "Maple Leaf Sihouette" (5127-K) several times onto a piece of tissue paper, using various dye inks including Adirondack Sunshine Yellow, Adirondack Butterscotch, and Kaleidacolor Autumn Leaves.  I cut the leaves out and then applied them to the candle, one by one, by covering the leaf image with wax paper and applying heat with my heat gun.  In just mere seconds...the image is transferred onto the candle.   SO MUCH FUN!

I'm so excited that I was stretched out of my comfort zone to try this.  Now when I look at an image, I know I will be thinking "How would this look on a candle?" LOL!
