Beauty of Autumn Leaves
It's Monday! What better way is there to make a Monday more bearable, than with a Stamp of the Week from Repeat Impressions? This week’s SOTW is "Maple Leaf Silhouette" (5127-K). The SOTW is available exclusively to Repeat Impressions blog readers at 50% OFF with the special discount code from Monday, October 8 to Sunday, October 14. To get the discount code and more information about the SOTW, please go to the Repeat Impressions blog, The House That Stamps Built.
For my card, I stamped "Maple Leaf Sihouette" (5127-K) three times onto 100% Cotton Cardstock Watercolor Paper (from my friends at Marco's) with various dye inks. I then used a waterbrush to move the ink and saturate it. The yellow leaf was stamped with Adirondack Sunshine Yellow. The orange leaf was stamped with Adirondack Butterscotch, with some touches of Peerless Watercolors. And, the multicolored darkened leaf was stamped with a Kaleidacolor Autumn Leaves pad. Once dry, I cut the leaves out with my Cutterbee scissors and then placed onto one another.
I stamped the Repeat Impressions sentiment "For the Beauty" (3213-G) with Versafine Vintage Sepia onto a panel of the 100% Cotton Cardstock Watercolor Paper. I framed this panel with brown cardstock. The larger panel of the card is a piece of patterned paper from K&Company. A Sizzix embossing folder was used to create texture, and was lightly sponged with Adirondack Butterscotch dye. It too was framed with brown cardstock.
Three small orange rhinestones complete the card.
I continue to be inspired by the beautiful leaves this year. It seems to be a banner year for them. I took another trip to Cincinnati yesterday, and smiled the whole way at Mother Nature's art show.
Speaking of art, take a look at what the other Rock Stars created:
Thanks so much for visiting my blog today! Have a great week!
