Cactus
(If you are here for the Repeat Impressions Sketch Challenge, scroll down)
It's Hambo Hoedown Time!
For this week's challenge, we are to incorporate neon into our creation with a Hambo image. What a bright challenge!
For my card, I printed the Hambo digital image of "Cactus" onto X-Press It cardstock. I colored the image with Copic markers and cut around the image with my Cutter-bee scissors.
For the layers of the card, I used patterned paper from Little Yellow Bicycle, a scrap (sorry an unknown source), black cardstock, and some bright neon green cardstock (feel free to adjust your monitors!). I paper pierced around the two rectangular panels and faux-stitched with a color pencil.
I added a neon green banner to the card, cut from a Memory Box die. The sentiment is one of three from the Hambo digital image of "Cactus". I framed it with black cardstock.
Those of you that follow my blog, know how much I love images of cacti. This one is no exception and I am sure you will be seeing it used again from me. I really probably should live in the southwest.
I hope you can join in on all of the fun with us at the Hoedown this week. All of the challenge details can be found right here on the Hoedown Blog. Remember you must use Hambo images to play along...but that's easy to do (there are some freebies here if you don't have any). If you play along this week, you will be sent next week's Hoedown image for free.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog!
