Do you know that Christmas is just 75 days away? It will be here soon, and if you go in the local department stores you'd think it was next week. It is time to start thinking about Christmas cards. Let's take a look at my first of the season...
Repeat Impressions Rock Star Christy Schumacher challenged us to use the technique of masking with an image from Repeat Impressions. For my card, I stamped (and masked) the image of "Ornament Frame" (3814-K) using Marvy black dye ink (and some Post-It notes) onto X-Press It cardstock. I colored the ornaments with Copic markers and did some highlighting and shading with Prismacolor pencils. I framed the image with black cardstock, and then placed it onto a larger panel of X-Press It cardstock which was also framed in black. A sheer black bow was added to the card.
I went a little CAS on this card, because I really truly wanted those ornaments to be the focal point of the card.
Want to see some more masking in action? Just head on over to the following Rock Stars:
Now, let's get back to Halloween, shall we? LOL!
