Cells

(If you are here for the Repeat Impressions Sketch Challenge, scroll down)

It's Hambo Hoedown Time!

For this week's challenge, we are incorporate circles into our creation with a Hambo image.  What a fun challenge!

This week, I printed the Hambo digital image of "Cells" onto X-Press It cardstock.  I colored the cells with Spectrum Noir markers (...my first time using this brand of alcohol based markers.  Seemed comparable to THE other brand, though the lids are rather hard to remove, LOL.  But, I'm thinking it might be a way to expand my color palette, especially in the reds, yellows, and pinks...where I think THE other brand is lacking).  I cut around the cells and made some white highlights with a white Uniball Signo pen.

I decided to make a twisted circular easel card using the wonderful tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers.  The card bases are made with patterned paper from Bo Bunny and The Paper Studio, and  black cardstock.  The circles and scalloped eyelet circles were cut with Nestabilities dies.

I added small detailed dots with a red Viva Pearl Pen.

The HILARIOUS sentiment is one of several from the Hambo digital image of "Cells" (I had a difficult time choosing which one to use).  I cut the sentiment flag with a Nestabilities die and added a red button and Baker's Twine.

I hope you can join in on all of the fun with us at the Hoedown this week. All of the challenge details can be found right here on the Hoedown Blog.  Remember you must use Hambo images to play along...but that's easy to do (there are some freebies here if you don't have any). If you play along this week, you will be sent next week's Hoedown image for free.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog!
