Tulip Windows

Here is a card I created after stumbling upon the Copic Creations Challenge blog. The challenge was to create the look of wood using Copic markers. Though I've done better wood jobs (gee, that sounds dirty), I'm pleased overall with this card.

The beautiful stamped image is from Stamps Happen. I stamped the image with Marvy Dye black ink onto Georgia Pacific cardstock. I colored the image with Copic markers and just a touch of Prismacolor pencil highlights. Patterned paper, paper piercer, pop-dots, tag punch, ribbon, brads and a sentiment from My Favorite Things were all used to put the finishing touches on this card.

I had fun coloring this image. It wasn't too difficult, and I used the label as a guide. I'm trying to work up to a Kinkade, Medaris or another Stamps Happen image as my summer masterpiece.

Thanks for looking.

This is a beautiful card, Kecia. I have a "Stamps Happen" image on my blog right now. They've got some gorgeous stamps. I love the way you did your wood frame. Thanks for joining our Copic Creations challenge. Join us for the next one - it starts tomorrow.
