Sunflower Blues

Repeat Impressions Rock Star Karen Hasheck challenged us to brayer or sponge for the latest Designer's Choice Challenge.  You can read all about this challenge on the Repeat Impressions blog, The House That Stamps Built. 

I love to sponge and sponge and sponge, so using Adirondack Sailboat Blue dye ink and Vivid Sky Blue dye ink, I sponged this vibrant blue panel.  I framed this panel with black cardstock and placed onto a white card.

I stamped the Repeat Impressions image of "Sunflower" (4313-K) with Marvy black dye ink onto X-Press It cardstock.  I colored the image with Copic markers and then cut around the flower with my Cutter-bee scissors. In the center of the sunflower I added some brown Stickles.  I added this to the card.

I added the Repeat Impressions sentiment "Brighten" (8623-D) by stamping directly onto blue with Versafine Onyx Black.  I added a sheer white ribbon and a bow.

And just for fun, I sprayed the card with Tsukineko Shimmer Spritz. 

Though on this card I stayed pretty simple, there are so many possibilities with brayering and sponging.  Go see how the other Rock Stars played:
