Flowering Hearts

It's Wednesday, which means it is time for a "What If? Wednesday Sketch".  You have two weeks to enter your card using the sketch posted on the Repeat Impressions blog...The House That Stamps Built.  All participants will have a chance to win a $25 Repeat Impressions gift certificate.  I hope you'll play along with us.

This week's sketch looks like this:

This is probably the closest I've ever followed a sketch before.  Seems like I always deviate a bit.

For this card, I stamped the Repeat Impressions image of "Flowering Hearts" (4316-I) with Marvy black dye ink onto X-Press It cardstock.  I colored the image with Copic markers and added some Crystal Stickles to give the hearts a little sparkle.  I cut the panel with a Nestabilities circle die and paper pierced around the image.  I then framed it with red cardstock, also cut from a Nestabilities circle die.

Patterned paper from Pebbles form the large panel of this card.  It was paper pierced and faux stitched with a colored pencil.  The three strips of white cardstock were dry embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder.  I added four hearts cut with a paper punch from red cardstock to the card.  The large panel was then framed with white and red cardstock.  A sheer red ribbon and bow put the finishing touches on this card.

It's never too early to add to the Valentine's Day stash, right?  My local grocery store had all of its Valentine's Day candy out on Christmas Eve.

Be sure to visit the other Rock Stars to see how they used this sketch:
Thanks so much for visiting my blog today!
