Beauty of the Earth

It's Monday! What better way is there to make a Monday more bearable, than with a Stamp of the Week from Repeat Impressions? This week’s SOTW is "For the Beauty" (3213-G). The SOTW is available exclusively to Repeat Impressions blog readers at 50% OFF with the special discount code from Monday, November 5 to Sunday, November 11. I have two cards to share today.

The first card was made by stamping the Repeat Impressions image of "Maple Leaf Silhouette" (5127-K) with Kaleidacolor Autumn Leaves dye ink onto 100% Cotton Cardstock Watercolor Paper (from my friends at Marco's).  I then took a waterbrush to the stamped image and moved the color around.  I cut the leaf out with my Cutterbee scissors.  I added a transparent brown button with a tied bow of hemp string to the leaf.

On a strip of white cardstock that I scored and framed with black cardstock, I stamped "For the Beauty" (3212-G) with Versafine Onyx Black Pigment ink.  Arranging the leaf onto the strip, I then adhered it to a kraft cardfront that was rounded at the bottom two corners with a punch.

The second card was made in a much similar way to the one mentioned above, though I departed from a fall leaf to a spring/summer green leaf.  "Maple Leaf Silhouette" (5127-K) was stamped with Adirondack Lettuce dye ink onto the watercolor paper and the color was spread with a waterbrush.  I did add Versamark to the leaf to adhere some clear UTEE.  I applied heat with my heat gun, and the result is a very shiny green leaf.

The sentiment "For the Beauty" (3213-G) was also stamped with Adirondack Lettuce dye ink.

Kraft, black cardstock, white cardstock form the layers of this card.   Baker's Twine and three small black rhinestones put the finishing touches on this card.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today!  Have a great week!

Gorgeous cards; I really love the layout on the second one and the coloring on both leaves.
