It's Wednesday, which means it is time for a "What If? Wednesday Sketch". You have two weeks to enter your card using the sketch posted on the Repeat Impressions blog...The House That Stamps Built. All participants will have a chance to win a $25 Repeat Impressions gift certificate. I hope you'll play along with us.
This week's sketch looks like this:
Once again, I rebelled. I omitted the long layer in the middle of the card, kept everything else though.
I stamped the Repeat Impressions image of "Maple Leaf Silhouette" (5127-K) with Adirondack Sunset Orange dye ink onto 100% Cotton Cardstock Watercolor Paper (from my friends at Marco's). I did dab some Adirondack Butterscotch dye ink onto the leaf as well. I then took a waterbrush to the stamped image and moved the color around. I cut the leaf out with my Cutterbee scissors.
I added some gluestick to the leaf, and then sprinkled some UTEE powder to the leaf. I used a heat gun and watched the "droplets" appear.
I cut an oval from a Nestabilities die. I sponged the dye inks of Adirondack Lemonade, SeaShells Peach Bellini, Adirondack Butterscotch, and Adirondack Willow onto the oval. I paper pierced around the oval.
Patterned paper from We R Memory Keepers, brown cardstock and kraft form the layers of this card. I paper pierced and faux-stitched with a color pencil around the patterned paper. I also dry embossed these patterned paper layers with a Darice folder.
The sentiment "For the Beauty" (3213-G) was with Versafine Vintage Sepia onto kraft. A sheer brown ribbon was threaded through the sentiment.
