Otterly Great

Lawn Fawn, Memory Box Die, Kecia Waters, Copic markers, sea otter
This card represents a couple of things I just had to have at first sight.

I had to have the adorable sea otter image and sentiment from Lawn Fawn.

I had to have the Big Splash border die from Memory Box.

I'll go ahead and tell you how long I've had these things...at least a year.  And this is the first time using them.  WHY AM I LIKE THIS?   I tend to buy and then look at things for a long time, thinking I'm not worthy of such cute and beautiful things...that I won't do them justice.

I like how this card turned out.  Even more, I like that I finally put these purchases to use.

Thanks for visiting my blog today!

Thanks A Latte

Tiddly Inks, Kecia Waters, Copic markers, coffee
Another coffee card, LOL!  Mind you, I don't drink coffee.

This card is for today's new challenge on the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog.  The challenge is to use gentle spring colors from this inspiration:

To make my card, I printed the Tiddly Inks image of "Thanks A Latte" onto X-Press It cardstock.  I colored the image with Copic markers, and used a stitched square die from Simon Says.  The beige cardstock panel was stamped randomly with a background swirl from Bugawumps with Adirondack Latte dye (perfect name!).  I added a button with Bakers twine as the finishing touches to this card.

Sure hope you'll join me, not for coffee (Yuck!), but in playing in this Tiddly Inks Challenge!

Perk Up

AJVD, Kecia Waters, Copic markers, coffee, UTEE, stained glass
For someone who can't stand coffee, or any hot beverages for that matter, I sure have a lot of coffee stamps and dies.  They're trendy in stamping, don't you know?

Here's "Grandpa's Glass: Cup of Love Die and Perk Up Stamp Set" from A Jillian Vance Design's new release.  You can read all about the card today on the AJVD blog.  Let's just say that once I colored all of the pieces with Copic markers and placed into the black die cut frame, the Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel powder flew all around my works space once I turned on the heat gun.  Worth the mess though...I just love the look of stained glass that the UTEE provides.

Make it a great day.  Come back again tomorrow for another post.

Sketch Poppies

Rubbernecker, Kecia Waters, watercoloring, poppies, Tombow markers
So, you can gather that watercolor isn't really my thing...yet.  I do enjoy it, but admit I do have trouble not having control and coloring outside the lines.  But, I have some time on my hands right now, and today's IC538 on Splitcoastampers took me to an artist that inspired by to mimic her style.

I had the perfect stamp set from Rubbernecker called "Sketch Poppies".  I stamped the image with Versafine Onyx Black onto watercolor paper from Marco's.  I then scribbled several colors of Tombow markers onto an acrylic block and proceeded to watercolor with this ink with a brush and water.  The sentiment, also from "Sketch Poppies", was stamped as well with Versafine Onyx Black.

Now, where are my Copics?  LOL. This was a true departure from my style.

Ducky Dance

Tiddly Inks, Kecia Waters, Copic markers, Wryn, ducks, umbrella
It's Fab Friday over at the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog!  And what a fabulous Friday it is....SPRING BREAK!  Oh yeah, a whole week of coloring for me!

Here's my creation.  It features the Tiddly Inks image of "Ducky Dance - Wryn".  I printed the image onto X-Press It cardstock and colored it with Copic markers.  To make the raindrops on the umbrella, I simply applied regular gluestick to the umbrella and sprinkled some Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel (UTEE) over the umbrella.  Then applied some heat with the heat gun.  Easy, but very cool effect.

Make sure you take a peek at today's Fab Friday post.  It's filled with Tiddly Inks inspiration goodness!

Ahoy!

A Jillian Vance Design, Kecia Waters, Copic markers, sponging, sailboat
I had some fun with the A Jillian Vance Design stamp set "Ahoy!" this past weekend.  Lots of brayering and sponging of Adirondack Sunshine Yellow, Simon Says Stamp Melon, and Adirondack Sunset Orange dye inks. Oceans were drawn in with Copic markers.

All of these cards are featured on the A Jillian Vance Design blog today.  I love each and every one of them.

Bullet Journal Spreads, Tiddly Inks Style

Tiddly Inks, Kecia Waters, Copic markers, gratitute, Bullet Journal, BuJo
It's Tiddly Tuesday!  Time for another challenge on the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog.  This time around, the challenge is to "Scrap It".  Yikes!!!  I don't scrapbook at all.  But I am sixteen pages into a bullet journal and I have lots of scraps.  So, these page spreads are the result of my take on the challenge.

One spread is a gratitude spread for the month of March.  I used the Tiddly Inks image of "Whatcha Doing?"   It was printed onto X-Press It cardstock and colored with Copic markers and colored pencils.  Lots of scraps.  See that circle behind her head?  I had some fun with some new Art Anthology Colorations Sprays that I recently purchased.  You may be seeing some more fun backgrounds in the future from me.  Maybe.

The other spread is a weekly spread for this page.  Can you tell I'm whitening my teeth this week, LOL?   This spread features the Tiddly Inks image of "Send Me a Sign Bugg" and was colored with Copic markers.  Kinda cool that I was able to customize the sign.

Baby Bib Shape Card

AJVD, Kecia Waters, shape card, baby bib, Copic markers
It has been quite a while since I've taken the time to make a shape card.  I thought this image from A Jillian Vance Design's stamp set "Hello Spring" would look cute on a baby bib.

I had to dig to find some white eyelets in my stash.  Why did eyelets go so out of crafting fashion?  The image was fun to color with Copic markers.  If you want to read some more about this card, it is featured today on the AJVD blog.  Go take a look.

Somebunny Loves You

Tiddly Inks, Kecia Waters, Copic markers, bunny, Wryn
Yay for Friday!  And yay for a Tiddly Fab Friday!  You can see some amazing creations from the design team over on the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog.

I decided to make another Easter card, this one featuring the adorable Tiddly Inks image of "Wryn Somebunny Loves You".  I printed the image onto X-Press it cardstock and colored with Copic markers.  The sentiment also comes with "Wryn Somebunny Loves You".  A Simon Says Stamp die provides for the rectangle panel stitching, and some patterned paper from Bella Blvd makes the large card panel.  A pink bow with an enamel dot puts the finishing touches on this card.

So glad you stopped by the Stamping Deets today!  Thank you for that!

Iris Thank You

A Jillian Vance Design, Kecia Waters, Copic markers, iris
I had the best time coloring the petals of these irises.  So much so, I stamped the image three times and got lost for a bit of time with my Copic markers.

This card features the stamp set "Spring In Bloom" from A Jillian Vance Design.  Sadly, this set is retiring so run to A Jillian Vance Design if you need to get lost coloring iris petals too.

You can read all about this card on the AJVD blog today!

Thanks so much for stopping by the Stamping Deets!

Hoppy Easter

Tiddly Inks, Kecia Waters, Copic markers, Easter
It's Tiddly Tuesday!  Time for another challenge on the Tiddy Inks Challenge Blog.  This time around, we are being challenged with the theme of Easter.  I think the adorable Tiddly Inks image of "Emma Hoppy Easter" fits the bill perfectly.

I printed "Emma Hoppy Easter" onto X-Press It cardstock.  I colored her with Copic markers and then fussy cut around the image.

I created a little scene by cutting the grassy hill with a Simon Says Stamp die from a scrap of patterned paper and sponging some Mama Elephant Mojito pigment ink along the edges.  I created the blue sky by sponging Mama Elephant Ocean onto some white cardstock.  I cut a stitched square frame from a Simon Says Stamp die.  I placed "Emma Hoppy Easter" onto the scene with a pop-dot.

The sentiment was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black, and is from A Jillian Vance Design.

Sure hope you can join us in this Easter Challenge.  Make sure you visit the Tiddly Inks Challenge blog for some INCREDIBLE inspiration from the Design Team.
