Sausage Dog
Just playing around with a stamp I bought earlier in the year off Etsy. It is called "Sausage Dog" and was made by Urban Stamps.
I stamped the dachshund image with Marvy Black dye ink onto X-Press It cardstock. I created a mask with masking film and sponged Mama Elephant Ocean pigment ink. I made a mistake on the ground, so I cut around the bottom half of the dachshund, and used a strip of patterned paper for the ground.
The sentiment seemed perfect. It is from Great Impressions and was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black.
Got a little Valentine-ish by stamping three little hearts from Paper Smooches.
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today.
Speaking of Etsy...if I can get my act together again, I plan on dusting off my Etsy shop and trying to sell some of my cards.

Analogous Hearts
It's so fun just to sit back and color. Love having some time off.
This card is made with a digital image from Tiddly Inks called "Heartfelt Love". I printed it onto X-Press It cardstock and colored the image with Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils.
The sentiment is from an old Close To My Heart set. Seemed perfect, so I stamped it with Versafine Onyx Black.
This card is a result of playing around with analogous colors for a Splitcoast Challenge. I kinda like the result.
Thanks for visiting my blog this Monday! I sure do appreciate the time you take out of your day to look at the cards I make.

Bright Yellow Flowers
Flowers? December 26? Why not?! The weather around here has been incredibly warm. It feels like April.
This image is from Inkadinkado. I colored with Derwent Inktense pencils a couple of years ago, when I just got them. I came across the colored image accidently as I was going through some papers in my stamp room. Seemed like it was finally time to put it on a card.
Sentiment is a die from Paper Smooches. Rectangle and circle stitched dies are from Simon Says Stamp.
Thanks for dropping by my blog today. I hope these flowers brightened your day.

Sloopy needed a card. She seemed pleased with the outcome.
This adorable image called "Holiday Pup" is a digital image from Some Odd Girl. I printed it onto X-Press It cardstock and colored it with Copic markers. The sentiment is from Impression Obsession and was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink. Some Glossy Accents highlight the ornaments on the antlers.

Because of the Peanuts Postage Stamps
When I heard that the post office was going to make the Peanuts gang a part of their Christmas stamps release, I knew it was a sign to make a Peanuts Christmas card this year.
This is my official 2015 Christmas card. It was a quick design, which was a bonus. The stamp is from Stampabilities. The sentiment die is from Memory Box.
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog this Christmas. May your heart be filled with love today.

Christmas Greetings from Santa
This guy is coming to visit. Hope he brings you everything your heart desires.
The images and sentiment are from Paper Smooches. The Santa from the set "Santa Paws" was stamped with Memento Black ink and colored with Copic markers. I fussy cut around the image.
On a white cardstock panel, I sponged some gorgeous Mama Elephant Mojito pigment ink for the sky by doing a little masking. I stamped three presents, also from Santa Paws, with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the snow ground. Colored also with Copic markerss. I added some Crystal Stickles to the presents, as well some Glossy Accents. Santa's spectacles also have Glossy Accents on the lens.
The sentiment is a die cut from Paper Smooches.
Fun card. Have a fun holiday. Merry Christmas!

Santa's Helpers
Here's a card featuring the digital image of "Santa's Helpers" from Tiddly Inks. I printed it with X-Press It cardstock and had a blast coloring it with my Copic markers. The sentiment is from Hero Arts and was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black. The patterned paper is from Jillibean Soup.
Going to enter this one in the current challenge #173 at Tiddly Inks, "Merry Berry".
Stay tuned. I have a few Christmas cards I still need to share with you, including the official Christmas card of 2015.

Stained Glass Candles
Here's a card I made using the A Jillian Vance Design die "Grandpa's Glass Candles".
I used the die to cut a black outline with black cardstock. I ran this through my Xyron and placed onto a card panel of white cardstock. Then using the same die, I cut white X-Press It cardstock.
I colored each piece of the white with Copic markers, and pieced together the scene like a puzzle using the black frame.
Once complete, I covered the put-together image with Versamark Watermark and covered with Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel. I applied heat with a heat gun. This step was repeated three times to get the thickness.
I placed my finished "stained glass" onto a white card panel.

Birthday Greetings from a Dachshund
Today is my Dad's birthday. I have probably mentioned this before, but during my childhood he always wanted me to make him a handmade card for his birthday and Father's Day. Perhaps he's the reason I grew into this cardmaking hobby. I'd like to think so.
I made him this card using a Hero Arts stamp called "Holiday Dachshund", stamped with Marvy black ink onto X-Press It cardstock. Colored, of course, with Copic markers. I fussy cut the image and pop-dotted it onto a white card panel. Washi tape runs along the base. The sentiment, from an old Hero Arts set, was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black. A few sequins put the finishing touches on this card.
Cool that this stamp deemed "Holiday Dachshund" can sure pass as a birthday stamp too. Yay for versatility!
Happy Birthday, Dad!

Ice Skating Buddies
Not sure I'm ready for the slippery ice that comes with every winter, but these two sure are.
To make this card, I printed the Sassy Cheryl's digital image of "Lucy Lou Princess on Ice" from the set "It Takes One to Know One" onto X-Press It cardstock. I colored the image with Copic markers, added some Crystal Stickles for the ice.
Washi tape was adhered along the bottom of this card, and the sentiment from A Jillian Vance Design was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black.

Dog and Star Tree
Lots of coloring therapy is going to be needed. So, lots of cards will be made.
This is a card made with the image of "Dog and Star Tree" from Stampotique. Colored with Copic markers. Playing around with some Simon Says Stamps dies, and used a sentiment from Paper Smooches. Sponging with Mama Elephant Winter pigment ink. The "snow" is from an embossing stencil from Simon Says Stamp and some Ranger Texture Paste.
Lots going on with this CAS card. Lots of frustration going on within with the 2015 Ohio State Buckeyes. Nuff said.

Sloopy Thanks
Sloopy needed a thank you card. This is the result.
Used some new toys on this one. The dachshund is a stamp from Urban Stamps out of the UK. It is called "Sausage Dog". I bought it on Etsy. The green patterned paper was cut from a rectangle stitched die from Simon Says Stamp. And those pretty little sequins are from Doodlebug Design. All fun finds this summer.
The only old thing on this card is the "Thanks" die cut. It was a freebie at a convention from Taylored Expressions.

Another card made in May.
This card was made as a request to remember a young girl who lost her life way too early to asthma. She was an avid lacrosse player and was very spirited in her school activities. The digital image is from Sherri Baldy and was colored with Copic markers.
Still two more May cards, so stay tuned. I'm only two months behind.

Lily of the Valley
Here's a card that I made in May that I am just now sharing. I know, "bad blogger".
I actually really like it. It is a beautiful image from Northwoods, and though it looks really complicated it was quite easy to color with the artist drawn lines indicated where to shade.
There's a couple of other cards from May that didn't get shared, so stay tuned. None as good as this one though so it will be down hill from here, LOL.

So Sweet on You
I made this card last week, just for fun. I'm just getting around to sharing it. It was made using the stamp set "Freeze the Moment" from There She Goes. Oh how I miss that company! I'm fortunate I have some of their stamp sets...though I usually have in my mind that I'm not worthy of them and can't do them justice. I think I did okay coloring the adorable little girl in Copics. The rest of the design is a disappointment. I can't do more than a simple layout to save the life of me.
Back again soon with more cards that I've made, but are still unshared. Is that even a word? Unshared?

Fungi
Last week, I posted a card for the A Jillian Vance Design blog. Truth be told, I wasn't pleased with it, but it had to do for the moment. I had a chance to rework the card, and now, I'm liking it.
Using the mushroom image from AJVD's "Oh, Nuts", I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Hammermill Color Copy. I made a mask, and then sponged a circle using a negative cut with a Nestabilities die. Inks used include Distress Ink Tumbled Glass and Adirondack Lettuce. I then removed the mask, and colored with Copic markers. The sentiment, which cracks me up, is also from "Oh, Nuts". It was stamped using Versafine Onyx Black ink. A few white enamel dots complete the details for this card.
Hooray for do-overs!

Another Snoopy Card
Another Snoopy card. It's the result of some scraps, which is always fun to use.
I stamped Snoopy from Stampabilities with Versafine Onyx Black onto a circle panel. I covered Snoopy with masking film, and sponged Distress Ink Tumbled Glass for the sky. The ground was colored with Copic markers.
I framed the circle with a black circle, and placed onto a square card panel (sorry, it was a scrap---unknown source). I added three enamel dots, and stamped my sentiment from A Jillian Vance Design onto the card with Versafine Onyx Black.
Makes for a cute card, I think. No sense throwing scraps away.

I rubbed and smeared my Distress Ink Scattered Straw and Distress Ink Wild Honey ink pads onto a sheet of acetate. I misted with water then smooched the acetate onto watercolor paper. Once I liked the look, I set the paper aside to dry.
In the meantime, I stamped "Happy Snoopy" from Stampabilites with Versafine Onyx Black onto white cardstock and fussy cut. I adhered Snoopy to my watercolor panel. Then, I stamped the sentiment from A Jillian Vance Design with Versafine Onyx Black.
Sometimes it is just fun to play and experiment. That's what this card was all about, Charlie Brown.
Thanks for visiting my blog today!
