A Winter Dance
I am thrilled to be the hostess for this week's challenge over on the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge blog. I chose a color challenge of "Winter Blues", which challenges you to use blues in your creation this week. And, I thought the title of the challenge was quite appropriate. I have the winter blues. I am so ready for summer, I'll admit it.
For my card, I used a digital image from the Sassy Cheryl's "A Winter Dance" set. I must say, these two adorable snowman don't have the winter blues at all. They are enjoying shoveling of all things, LOL.
Anyway, I printed the image onto X-Press It cardstock and colored the image with Copic markers. I sponged around the edges of the image panel with Brilliance Pearlescent Sky Blue and framed it with some black cardstock.
I lightly stamped some snowflakes from Stamps by Judith into the scene with Brilliance Pearlescent Sky blue.
The sentiment is from There She Goes and thought it was a nice match to the image. The larger card panel has a strip of patterned paper from The Paper Studio.
The blue rhinestone is from the cover of my 2013 calendar. Might as well get some use out of it now, right?
I wish I could embrace winter like these two cuties, but I'm just not feeling it, LOL.
Have a great week, and try to play along in the challenge. Free digis are up for grabs to the winner.
