Vase of Hearts

As I shared with you on Monday, I had some electrical issues happening in my kitchen last Sunday. How much I appreciated a spark-free Sunday today. I am happy to share this card with you. Thanks again to the Outlines Design Team for understanding my tardiness on this one.

We were challenged with a sketch:

For my card, I decided to use the Outlines image called "Vase of Hearts" (H-916). I inked a portion of this image with a Memento Tuxedo Black ink marker and stamped it onto X-Press It cardstock. I colored the image with Copic markers, and added some shading with Prismacolor pencils and highlights with Moonlight Smooch. I rounded two of the corners of this image panel with a corner punch.

For the layout of the card, I used white cardstock and patterned paper from Cloud 9 Design. The white cardstock panel was dry embossed with a Cuttlebug folder. The circle portion of the the layout was cut with a Nestabilities circle die. Paper piercing was done on many of the layout elements.

The sentiment is also from Outlines. It is called "Be Mine" (C-288). A little Moonlight Smooch highlights the border. A sheer white ribbon completes the card.

Come back tomorrow for this week's challenge on the Outlines Challenge Blog. It goes live at 5:00 Eastern. I hope you'll be able to join us.
