Stampin' Sisterhood, Green Daisies

It's Sunday! Time for another Rubbernecker Stampin' Sisterhood Challenge! Remember, if you play along with us this week, you will have chance to win a FREE STAMP from Rubbernecker and be queened Sunday Sister. And, at the end of each month, all the month's Sunday Sisters will be put in a random drawing to win a STAMP SET from Rubbernecker Stamps! Head on over the the Stampin' Sisterhood's blog for all of the details.

This week's challenge is an inspiration photo:

To me, it is almost like a color challenge...I mean, look at all of that green. My eyes saw those green flowers, which made me think of Rubbernecker's "Daisies" (SKU-506-05). However, I just couldn't bring myself to color the petals green, so I decided to go with traditional white daisies and make just everything else on my card green. I stamped the daisies onto X-Press It cardstock with Marvy black dye ink. I then used the out-of-the-box technique with a Nestabilities oval die. I colored the image with Copic markers, and did some sponging with SeaShells Conch Shell dye, and paper pierced around the image. Crystal Stickles were added to the centers of the daisies.

Patterned paper from tk Whimsy and My Mind's Eye were used as panels for the card. More paper piercing and a green ribbon put the finishing touches onto this card.

The sentiment "thinking of YOU" (SKU: 565-10) is also from Rubbernecker and was stamped directly onto the patterned paper.

I do hope you'll join us this week. Make sure you visit the Rubbernecker Stampin' Sisterhood blog for more inspiration from the design team, along with all of the details on how to play along this week in the challenge.
