Roses, Again
I'm still on a Rose Bowl victory high, but know that Valentine's Day is just around the corner. I know I used this same image a week ago to complete a card, but I thought it would be fun to see if I could make a Valentine's Day card with it. I actually started out thinking I would make this card to complete the current Copic Colour Challenge, but no. That attempt went seriously wrong, so I tried to salvage my attempt into something. And this card is the result.
The stamped image is from Rubbernecker. I stamped it onto Georgia Pacific cardstock with Marvy dye black ink and colored the image with Copic markers. Not liking my results, I cut the roses and stems from the main image...stamped the image again onto a cream colored cardstock and placed the colored roses on top of the image stamped on cream. I did some more Copic coloring, and added some highlights using colored pencils...let's call it multimedia coloring.
I layered the card with colored cardstock and patterned paper, and did some paper piercing. The sentiment is from a $1 stamp from Michaels.
Thanks so much for visiting. I think I was able to save the card so that the intended recipient can still appreciate the effort.
