Fish Note Card

Impression Obsession, Kecia Waters, Copic markers It's time to reveal Tuesday's Splitcoaststampers Color Challenge.  This week for challenge #589, we are using the colors elegant eggplant, rose red and island indigo.  The dessert option for the week is to use ribbon.

So, I grabbed "Goldfish" from Impression Obsession and made him look like anything but a goldfish, LOL!  The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press It cardstock.  I colored the image with Copic markers.  A few little crystal beads serve as bubbles.

And there you have it...my gig as Guest Designer from the month of June has come to a close.  It was fun and I sure hope I am asked to do it again.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today!

Patriotic Cup of Love

AJVD, Kecia Waters, Copic markers, coffee, Glossy Accents
Just playing around with A Jillian Vance Design's "Cup of Love" stamp.  I thought a patriotic cup of coffee might be in order this week, so this is the result.  I traced around a star stencil to get the white stars.  I used Glossy Accents to get the shiny glass look.

You can read all about this card on the AJVD blog today!

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today.  Stay on the lookout for another post later in the day, around 11:00 pm Eastern.

Celebrate the Red White and Blue

Tiddly Inks, Kecia Waters, Copic markers, patriotic
It's time for another Tiddly Tuesday!  This week, we are playing along on a Tingo Grid.  Please go to the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog for all the information you will need to play along too!  You'll also see some great Tiddly Inks inspiration as well.

For my card, I printed the digital Tiddly Inks image of "Patriotic Wryn" onto X-Press It cardstock.  I colored the image with Copic markers. Stickles help highlight the sparklers and the stars on the flag are just some small dots from a white gel pen.  I added the die cut sentiment from A Jillian Vance Design.  The red, white and blue along the base of the card is actually a ribbon adhered to the bottom of the card.  So, for Tingo...I used a die cut, a Tiddly Inks image and a ribbon.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today!  Hope you can join us at Tiddly Inks for this week's challenge!

Get Carried Away on Your Birthday

Taylored Expressions, Kecia Waters, Copic markers, elephant, birthday
In just a couple of hours it will be Tuesday, so it is now time for the reveal of this week's colors on Splitcoaststampers Color Challenge.  It is so fun guest designing during the month of June for this challenge.

This week we are to use the colors Perfect Plum, Smokey Slate and Pink Pirouette.  For my card, I stamped the elephant from Taylored Expressions "Balloon Buddies" stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-Press It cardstock.  I colored the image with Copic markers and used a die cut to cut around the image.  The sentiment is also from "Balloon Buddies" and was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black onto a scrap of unknown patterned paper.  I framed this sentiment with black cardstock.

On a white card panel, I stamped an old image from My Favorite Things to create the skyline.  I used Copic markers to add a bit of color to the sky.

And there you have it.  A fun birthday card ready to go.  Can't have enough of these in the stash.

Sure hope you can join us over at Splitcoaststampers this week for  Color Challenge #588

Coffee and a Friend

AJVD, Kecia Waters, stained glass, Copic markers, coffee
Last week, in the middle of nowhere, I ran into a long lost friend.  We had coffee on the spot and it was nice.  So grateful to catch up and talk about things that needed to be talked about.  This card brings that nice encounter to mind.  It features the new stamp set "Cup of Love" from A Jillian Vance Design.  You can read all about the card on the AJVD blog today.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today!  I do appreciate it.  I'm juggling a graduate class, cardmaking and life.  So much for a relaxing summer.

Just Keep Swimming

Continuing my month-long gig of guest designer for Splitcoaststamper's Color Challenge, this card features the Tiddly Inks image of "Just Keep Swimming".  I printed her onto X-Press It cardstock and colored her with Copic markers.  I tried to keep as true to the this week's colors: Bermuda Bay, Tangerine Tango, and Daffodil Delight.  As you can probably predict, I failed miserably at the dessert which was to have at least five layers.  LOL!  Fun stuff is on this card though, which maybe could be counted as layers...Glossy Accents on the mask, die cut bubbles from a Simon Says Stamp die, and crystal beads.  The sentiment is from A Jillian Vance Design.

Happy Fab Friday...early!  This card will be my submission for Tiddly Inks Fab Friday.  Don't forget to check out the Tiddly Inks goodness on the Challenge Blog that day.  I took a sneak peak...the cards are gorgeous.

Thanks for visiting my blog today!

Sunburst Swirl Note Cards

AJVD, Kecia Waters, Pan Pastels

I have been slowly acquiring a collection of Pan Pastels, but with no knowledge how to use them.  I'm promising myself I'm going to learn though.  Someday.

But until that day, I thought I'd quickly play with them.  I was wanting to see how they would look when used in conjunction with A Jillian Vance Design's "Sunburst Swirl".  So, out came the Versamark Watermark Ink and some of my favorite colors.

You can see the result of my playing on these note cards, featured today on the A Jillian Vance Design blog.  Go see.

Grateful Graduate

Tiddly Inks, Kecia Waters, Copic markers, graduation
It's Tiddly Tuesday!  Time for another challenge on the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog.  This time around, it's "One for the Boys".

Tiddly Inks have many images to chose from for the guys in your life.  I had a friend in need of a graduation card, and one of Tiddly Inks newest images "Grateful Graduates" certainly fit the bill.  I printed it onto X-Press It cardstock, colored it with Copics.  The sentiment is from A Jillian Vance Design and was stamped with Versafine.  A few white sequins complete the card.

IN NO WAY IS THIS CARD CELEBRATING THE GRADUATION OF SOMEONE FROM scUM.  They have no graduates!  LOL!  This card is going to a graduate from a nearby high school.  They really need to rethink their colors.

Father's Day Cod

Hambo Stamps, Kecia Waters, Copic markers, Father's Day
I am delighted to be one of the June guest designers for the color challenge on Splitcoaststampers.

My submission for this week is a card that features a digital image and sentiment from Hambo Stamps called "Snorkel Boy".  I printed it onto X-Press It  and colored with Copic markers.  The sentiment also comes with the set.  Some Glossy Accents highlight the mask, and some crystal bubbles add some more bubble action to the underwater scene.

Hope you can join us for the challenge this week at Splitcoaststampers.

Celebrate!

AJVD, Art Anthology, Kecia Waters, celebrate
Celebrate good times!  Indeed, today is all about celebrating!  I LOVE summer!

This card is featured on the A Jillian Vance Design blog today.  It is a result of me playing around with some Art Anthology Colorations Sprays.  There is definitely a learning curve with these sprays, and I am no where close to near it.  But they are fun...just like summer.  Love these fun colors too.  Some of my favorites.

Make it a great day, everyone.  Back again on the blog tomorrow.  Maybe even later on today.  See how great summer is??!!!

Happy Bee Day

Tiddly Inks, Kecia Waters, Copic markers, bee
It's time for another Fab Friday post for Tiddly Inks.  And for those of you who know me, you know how totally FABULOUS this day really is.  S-U-M-M-E-R!!!

I'll admit, I like the way this card turned out.  It features the digital Tiddly Inks image of "Happy Bee Day".  I printed the image and sentiment onto X-Press It cardstock.  I then printed on some masking film, and masked the image.  I sponged Distress Ink Scattered Straw and Distress Ink Wild Honey using a stencil.  I then removed the mask and proceeded to color the image with Copic markers.  I framed the image panel with kraft cardstock.

Bee Happy!  I'll be making a lot of cards during the next 2 1/2 months.  WOOT!
