Purple Grad
Don't you love it when a challenge aligns with a card you actually need? Today marks the first day of a two week challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog. The ever-so-talented Sassy Dawn challenged us to use at least two dies and at least one shade of purple on our creation. My husband needed graduation card for a graduate who will be wearing a purple gown...so woot!
To make this card, I printed the Sassy Cheryl's digital image of "Con-grats!" onto X-Press It cardstock. I colored the image with Copic markers (I usually don't work with my Violet purples...but, I'm liking the results on this). I framed the image with black cardstock, and then using Cuttlebug dies, I cut the numbers 2-0-1-4 from black cardstock.
The card panel is patterned paper from Lasting Impressions. I arranged the 2-0-1-4 along the side, tied some Baker's Twine, and adhered the image.
The sentiment was inked with Versafine Onyx Black and is from a Michael's $1 stamp.
So grab something purple and a couple of dies and get creating. You could win digital images from Sassy Cheryl's. Sure hope you can join us in all of the fun!
