Shades of the Elm

It's time for another Designer's Choice Challenge on the Repeat Impressions Blog!  This time around Rock Star Karen Hasheck is challenging us to incorporate the following three elements in our creations: a stamped image, embossing, and diecut or punch.

For my card, I stamped the Repeat Impressions image of "Shades of the Elm" (2908-I) with Marvy black dye ink onto X-Press It cardstock.  I cut the image panel with a Nestabilities die.  I sponged Distress Ink Tumbled Glass dye onto the panel, and colored the image with Copic markers.  I paper pierced around the image panel and framed it with black cardstock.

The largest card panel is made with patterned paper from Doodlebug Factory.  I embossed the panel with a Cuttlebug dry embossing folder.  I paper pierced around the panel and faux stitched with a colored pencil.  Light sponging around the edges with Adirondack Taupe dye ink was done and the panel was framed in black.

The Repeat Impressions sentiment "Brighten" (8623-D) was stamped using Versafine Black Onyx onto a strip of patterned paper from DCWV.  It too was paper pierced and framed in black.

A small black and white bow completes this card.

Join us in this Designer's Choice Challenge on the Repeat Impressions blog, The House That Stamps Built.  Read the details and show us your creations...you may just win a little something.
