I can't believe it is the end of January. Time to get into full gear with Valentine's Day. I don't think I can even have a Valentine's Day without coloring up one of my favorite images from Tiddly Inks called "You Are On My Mind". If you like coloring hair with Copics, this is such a fun image for you to try.
To make this card, I printed the image on X-Press It cardstock and colored with Copic markers. I framed the image with black cardstock. The patterned paper is from Pebbles, and the smaller piece hanging from the top is an unknown scrap. The sentiment is from A Jillian Vance Design and was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black. A button with Baker's Twine puts the finishing touches on this card.

I'd Melt for You
I was shivering all weekend long. Not sure why. I mean, yes it is winter. But I wasn't a part of the snow storm, nor did I venture out into the cold. I was a hermit. Oh well, I stamped this campfire in an attempt to warm up, LOL.
This card was made using several stamp sets from A Jillian Vance Design. You can read all about it today on the AJVD blog.
Thanks a bunch for visiting my blog today! Stay warm, if you are warm!

Spring?
I was thinking it might be nice to create a springlike card, given many people are snowed in right now. I'm not, but my hometown and lots of friends east are.
This card is truly a result of me playing around with masking a digital image from Sassy Cheryl's "Callie's Nature Digital Set" with masking film, and using painter's tape to create a rectangle border. I sponged the background with Distress Inks Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean. The adorable image itself was colored with Copic markers, and the sentiment is from Taylored Expressions. It was stamped with my go-to Versafine Onyx Black.
Thanks for dropping by my spring preview. Stay warm and safe.

It's Tiddly Tuesday!!! And I'm a Part of It!!!
Someone pinch me please! I have been invited to be a guest designer for TIDDLY INKS! Never in ten thousand years did I ever think this would happen. I have admired Christy Crolls' images since forever, and I own many...I just rarely create with them because I think I'm not worthy or good enough, LOL. I'm quirky and ridiculous that way.
Here's my first official card as a guest designer. It is for Challenge #174 on the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog, create a thank you card.
For my card, I used the wonderful Tiddly Inks image "Celebrate Joyfully". I printed the digital image onto X-Press It cardstock and colored the image with Copic markers.
The sentiment is also from "Celebrate Joyfully". I drew in the line with a black marker, and rounded two corners with a punch.
Make sure you play along and make a thank you card! All the details, and samples from the Tiddly Inks Design Team can be found on the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog!

Thanks SNOW Much
What a great weekend! And it's still going on thanks to it being a three day weekend. I spent a lot of time in my stamp room just playing around with inks and embossing powder and stamps. A good time for sure.
Here's a card from the weekend. I was playing around with sponging Distress Inks onto glossy cardstock. Loving the vibrancy. The snowflakes are from A Jillian Vance Design's "Just Snowflakes Too" and were stamped with some new Hero Arts Unicorn pigment ink, some heat embossed, some not.
This card is featured on the AJVD blog today, so you can read all the deets about how I created this card.
Thanks SNOW much for stopping by my blog on this very CHILLY day!

Warmth of the Sun
I'm thinking this could be a Valentine...yes? Decided to make my own snow, as we've only had traces around here. I'm truly not complaining. I'd rather see snow on a card than myThis card features the snowman from the A Jillian Vance Design "Frosty Stamp and Die Collection". Lots of masking, sponging and watercoloring going on for this card.
Read all about it today on the AJVD blog!
Have a fabulous week!

It Moose Be Love
Time to start cranking out Valentine's Cards. And my twisted mind used the A Jillian Vance Design stamp set "Simply Said: ChristMoose" to make this card. Kind of cool that a stamp set deemed for Christmas can be used for a Valentine's Day card.
This card is featured today on the AJVD blog. Go visit and see all the deets.

Weigh In
This card was made using the adorable digital image of "Sally's Weigh In" from Sassy Cheryl's. I printed the image onto X-Press It cardstock and colored with Copic markers. The sentiment is an old $1 stamp from Michael's.
My face looks exactly like Sally's right now. Time to chug water, eat less and move more.
Happy 2016 to everyone visiting my blog! Wishing you happiness and health this new year!

Desert Sky
Interesting note....this cactus stamp is from Toybox. It is THE FIRST rubber stamp I purchased. It was way back in 2002, when I wanted to commemorate the Buckeyes trip to the Fiesta Bowl. I simply stamped it in black on the back of the envelopes on my store bought cards. Hehe. But, as I was buying it, I signed up for a Stamping 101 class later that night. And well, the rest is history. (And the Buckeyes made history in that Fiesta Bowl. National Champs!!! I was there and it was one of the top moments in my life. Hands down).
To make this particular card (I've come along way from stamping the back of envelopes), I sponged a variety of inks onto a piece of X-Press It cardstock. Here they are: Distress Ink Faded Jeans, Vivid Ultramarine, Distress Ink Fire Brick, Colorbox Cranberry, Mama Elephant Apple, Orangeade, and Sunshine.
Once I was happy with the sky, I stamped the cactus image from Toybox with Versafine Onyx Black ink, and colored with a black marker to create a silhouette. I drew in the mountains with the same black marker along the bottom of the card.
White specks in the sky, unfortunately look like snow, but are supposed to be stars. Made with Copic white.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Here's to a great 2016. Go Buckeyes!!! Beat Notre Dame!
