Bokeh Effect

Today on Splitcoast Stampers TLC429, we were challenged to use the Bokeh Effect.  This actually comes from the field of photography but can be applied easily with stamping.   All you do is sponge  an ink color to the cardstock, and then take a solid stamp and stamp 3-4 times without reinking with another shade or color.

I had this adorable image from Stampendous called "BlockArt Beach Cutie" already colored with Copic markers, so I thought I could use this technique to create a background.  I sponged ColorBox Ice Blue Chalk ink onto a piece of Georgia Pacific cardstock.  Then taking a bubbles stamp from Bugawumps, I stamped the bubbles repeatedly without reinking using Distress Ink Tumbled Glass and Vivid! Bermuda Blue dye inks. To give the results a little sparkle, I spritzed the paper with Sparkle Sheer Shimmer.

I added a sheer white bow and ribbon, two pink flip-flop brads, and a sentiment from Fiskars stamped with Versafine Onyx Black to complete this card.

I like it!  I want to be there! LOL!  Thanks for visiting my blog today!
