Back

Back.  That's the word.  Yes, I'm back.  And I have been nursing my Sloopy back to health and happiness.  She had emergency back surgery on January 26.  Though it will be a long recovery, her doctors are optimistic about her recovery.  I can't wait to see my baby sit up like the dog on this card and just wag her tail and run in the grass on a spring day.  Thank you all for your prayers, and I do hope you continue them.  They are working.

It's Monday! What better way is there to make a Monday more bearable, than with a Stamp of the Week from Repeat Impressions?  This week’s SOTW is called "Scruffy Puppy" (8120-K). The SOTW is available exclusively to Repeat Impressions blog readers at 50% OFF with the special discount code from Monday, February 11 to Sunday, February 17. To get the discount code and more information about the SOTW, please go to the Repeat Impressions blog, The House That Stamps Built.

To make this card, I stamped the image of "Scruffy Puppy" (8120-K) with Marvy black dye onto X-Press It cardstock.  I colored the image with Copic markers, and put the dog into a grass and cloud scene.  To make the faint clouds, I sponged Memories Soft Baby Blue dye ink.

I framed the scene with black cardstock and pop-dotted the scene onto a piece of patterned paper from Bella Blvd, also framed with back cardstock.  This was then added to a white card base.

A heart cut from Pebbles patterned paper using a Nestabilities die, and some Baker's Twine put the finishing touches on this card.

Don't miss this adorable image used by some of the other Rock Stars:

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today! And a special thanks for sticking with me during my personal crisis.  It means a lot to me.

Kecia - I wasn't sure what happened but I have been worried. I am so glad Sloopy is getting better! I love the card - a perfect "I'm Back" card. You and Sloopy are in my thoughts and prayers!
