Rockin'

I'm a Rock Star!

No really...I am a Rock Star!  A Repeat Impressions Rock Star!  I am so honored to be joining this talented design team and to have this opportunity to work with some wonderful images from Repeat Impressions.

I am joining the team just in time for a "What If? Wednesday Sketch".  You have two weeks to enter your card using the sketch posted on the Repeat Impressions blog...The House That Stamps Built.  All participants will have a chance to win a $25 Repeat Impressions gift certificate.  I hope you'll play along with us.

The sketch this week looks like this:

For my card, I used the some brand-spankin'-hot-off-the-press images from Repeat Impressions. I stamped the images "Hot Air Balloon" (9113-K) and "Air Balloon Cluster" (9116-N) onto X-Press It cardstock with Marvy black dye ink.  I colored all of these balloons with Copic markers and cut around each balloon.  I actually stamped "Air Balloon Cluster" (9116-N) a second time so I could have another smaller balloon.

Then using patterned paper from Bella Blvd, black cardstock, and white cardstock, I formed the layers of this card.  I positioned the balloons into a little scene, pop-dotting one of the balloons for dimension.

I stamped the sentiment ""Dreams Take Flight" (9117-F) onto the patterned paper using Versafine Onyx Black pigment ink.  I then finished the card by doing some paper piercing around the large patterned paper panel, and faux stitched using a white color pencil.  A small bright orange/yellow striped ribbon complete the card.

I think these images are perfect for a graduation card, don't you?

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today.

What a fabulous sketch and you picked the perfect images to showcase it. Love the balloons! I was on a hot air balloon team years ago and it was the funnest thing! We travelled all around competing in events and having a ball. Your card brings back some of those memories - TFS!
