Stained Glass Block O
Good Game Day to you! Today marks the official start of college football. My favorite team, The Ohio State Buckeyes, will take the field at noon EST today. To show my support for my beloved Buckeyes, I thought a card was needed.
I stamped the ultra cool DRS Designs image "Ohio Buckeye" with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press It cardstock. I colored it with Copic markers and cut around the image with detailed scissors.
I paired the image with red cardstock cut with an emerald cut (die)mond nesting die set from Spellbinders and a jillian vance design. I stamped the fun DRS Designs background of "Large Stained Glass" with Memento Tuxedo Black directly on top of the cut "O". I colored with Copic markers, added the buckeyes and leaves and adhered an overlay of acetate to make "O" shiny just like stained glass.
This was such a fun shape card to make!
Have a great season, Buckeyes!

Mad About Plaid
This week on the DRS Designs blog, we are being challenged to be "Mad About Plaid".
Easy enough with with the DRS Designs background "Open Plaid". I stamped the background with ColorBox Wisteria Chalk Ink onto a piece of lilac cardstock. I then framed it with black cardstock. The main panel of the card is white cardstock. It was run through the Cuttlebug with a dry embossing folder and framed with black cardstock.
The adorable main image is also from DRS Designs. It is called "Witchy Frog Brew". I stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black onto X-Press It cardstock and colored with Copic markers. I then cut around the image with my detailed scissors.
The sentiment is also from DRS Designs and is called "Tiny Happy Halloween". It is stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink onto white cardstock and framed with black cardstock.
I added three black eyelets for some bubbles. (I almost forgot how to set eyelets, LOL).
I hope you join us for this week's challenge. There's some stamps up for grabs for one lucky participant. Every now and then you just have to get "Mad About Plaid".

Totally Tubular
It's Tuesday! A Totally Tubular Tuesday! It is time for another challenge on the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog. This week, the challenge is "Make a Splash". Sure hope you'll join us. There are two free digital images up for grabs for one lucky participant.
For my card, I used an image from Kraftin' Kimmie's "Totally Tubular" set. I stamped the image in Marvy black dye ink onto Neenah Solar White Classic Crest cardstock. I paper pieced the inner tube with a scrap of yellow patterned paper (sorry, source unknown). Then, I colored the image with Copic markers and drew in the ocean and sand with Copic markers. Some white highlights in the water were added with a Signo Uniball White pen. The sun was made by sponging SeaShells Conch Shell dye ink.
The sentiment is also from the Kraftin' Kimmie's set and was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black.
The scene is framed with black cardstock and patterned paper from TPC Studio.
Jump on in! The water is feeling fine! Join us this week for this water-themed challenge at Sassy Cheryl's.

Keep the Goblins Away
Today I have another candy apple card to share with you. I'm telling you, if I keep coloring these sweet images, I might just have to visit the dentist, LOL.
To make this card, I stamped the candy apples from Impression Obsession's "An Apple A Day" set with Marvy black dye onto X-Press It cardstock. I colored them with Copic markers. The sentiment is also from the set and was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black.
The patterned paper is from The Paper Cut. Black cardstock was also used. A ribbon was adhered to the card for a finishing touch.
Thanks for visiting my blog today. I hope your weekend is treating you well.

Peculiar Pumpkin Patch
This week I noticed Halloween candy replacing the Back-to-School displays in the stores, so I felt that was a great excuse to ink the adorable DRS Designs image of "Peculiar Pumpkin Patch".
I stamped the image with Marvy black dye ink onto X-Press it cardstock. I colored the image with Copic markers. I framed the image with black cardstock and placed on a white cardstock base, also framed with black cardstock.
For a finishing touch, I added a little ribbon treatment, along with a black button and Baker's Twine.
I hope you don't find this Halloween card too peculiar. 'Tis the Season.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog today! Have a great weekend!

A Treat For You
Today on the DRS Designs blog, we are being challenged to create a card with no layers. I sure hope you play along with us this week for your chance to win some free DRS Designs stamps. That would be a treat, wouldn't it?!
For my card, I stamped the DRS image of "Candy Apple" with Marvy black dye ink onto X-Press It cardstock. I colored the image with Copic markers, and just had to add Diamond Glaze for a shine.
The sentiment is also from DRS Designs and is called "Treat for You Greeting". It was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black.
I rounded the bottom corners with a punch, and adhered some black ribbon on the stick portion of the image. A MFT die-namics die cut the black scallop.
Easy card...which is what I needed since I'm back to work. Summer is officially over.
Thanks for visiting my blog today.

Celebrate With Cake
It's Tuesday! It is time for another challenge on the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog. This week, the challenge is "Happy Birthday". Sure hope you'll join us. There are two free digital images up for grabs for one lucky participant.
I think the best part of a birthday is the cake, don't you? In this adorable Sassy Cheryl's digital image, "Avery Celebrates with Cake" doesn't the cupcake look yummy?
I printed the image onto X-Press It cardstock. I colored with Copic markers, and added a few highlights of crystal Stickles on the sprinkles and flame. Using the out-of-the-box technique, I cut with a Nestabilities die and framed with black cardstock.
Patterned paper from Colorbok and Lasting Impressions form the layers of this card, along with black cardstock. The sentiment is a portion the DRS Designs sentiment "Birthday Multi Greeting" and was inked with a Memento Tuxedo Black marker. I cut the sentiment with a MFT die-namic die. A little pink rhinestone was added to the flag.
Sheer white ribbon, a clear pink button, and a little Baker's Twine complete the card.
Now, if only that cupcake was real! Thanks for visiting my blog today!
