Three Cupcakes

AJVD, Kecia Waters, cupcakes, Copic markers

It's Monday, which means it is my day to post over on the A Jillian Vance Design blog.  If you haven't checked out this blog full of inspiration, what are you waiting for?

I'm sharing this card I made using AJVD's "Birthday Icons by Becky Schultea" stamp set.  I stamped the cupcake image three times with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press It cardstock.  I colored the cupcakes with Copic markers, and added some shimmer using a clear Wink of Stella brush.  I cut around the cupcakes using detailed scissors.

Patterned paper from Bo Bunny, American Crafts, and a strip of vellum form the layout of this card.  The sentiments are from the "Birthday Icons" set as well, and are adhered to the clear button and Baker's Twine.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today.  And go visit the AJVD blog too!  You'll be glad you did!

Cake and a Candle

Sassy Cheryl's, Kecia Waters, Copic, birthday card

Wanted to add a birthday card to my stash, so I thought this adorable image by Sassy Cheryl's would be a fun one to color.  It is from the Sassy Cheryl's digital set called "All About Polly".

I colored her with Copic markers, did the out-of-the-box technique with a Nestabilities die and framed the image with a scalloped circle cut from a Nestabilities die.  A little bit of shimmer is on the cake's icing, compliments of clear Wink of Stella brush marker.

Patterned paper from Doodlebug Designs complete the card layers of this card.  MFT die-namics were used to create the flags.  The sentiment is from a dollar stamp.
Small pink rhinestones were added to put the finishing touches on this card.

I followed today's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge, #217, for the layout.

Have a super Sunday...and remember, there's still one more day to enter the current challenge over on the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge blog.  You could win free digital images!

Celebration Balloons

Kecia Waters, Copic markers

Bright colors are fun and make me happy.  So, I decided to make a celebration card with such a palette.

I used the stamp set from A Jillian Vance Design called "Birthday Icons from Becky Schultea".   I did some masking to make this giant balloon bouquet.  It was so fun to color.  You know the drill...Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press It cardstock.  Colored with Copic markers, with a little shading with Prismacolor pencils. The hat and sentiment are also from this stamp set.

Patterned paper from Bella Blvd form the layers to this card, along with black and yellow cardstock.

I hope everyone had a nice Easter weekend.  Here's to the five day work week.  Celebrate?  LOL.

Sure hope you'll hop on over and visit.  It will be the place for bright, colorful, whimsical creations.   Link will always be on the sidebar for easy access!

Feeling Under the Weather?

Sassy Cheryl, Kecia Water, Copic markers

Time for another challenge on the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog.  You've got two weeks to play along in the challenge "April Showers Brings Lots of May Flowers".  I thought this Sassy Cheryl's image was perfect for it.

I printed the image from Sassy Cheryl's "Callie's Busy Day" digital stamp set onto X-Press It cardstock.  I colored the image with Copic makers.  I then took a curved die from Simon Says and cut a curved line.  I place the image panel on a larger panel of patterned paper (sorry, source unknown...it was a scrap).

I then stamped the sentiment from My Favorite Things along the curve with Versafine Onyx Black.  I added three pink flower brads as the finishing touches.

Make sure you play along.  A random participant will receive two free digital images from the Sassy Cheryl's shop.

And, if you haven't been to Cheryl's shop lately...you really need to get there.  Some new characters are in the neighborhood, and Sassy Cheryl is now offering gift certificates.  What are you waiting for???

Have a wonderful week!  Thanks so much for visiting my blog!

Did Someone Say Cake?

A Jillian Vance Design, Copic markers, Kecia Waters

I've always loved me some cake!  Vanilla, please!

Here's a birthday card, featuring a cake image from A Jillian Vance Designs "Birthday Icons" stamp set from Becky Schultea.   I stamped the yummy looking cake onto X-Press It cardstock.  I colored with Copic markers.  The sentiment is also from this set.

I adhered a piece of patterned paper from Doodlebug Designs across the top of the white cardstock.  I made a bow, also from patterned paper from Doodlebug Designs, using A Jillian Vance Designs "3D{ie} Bow".   I think I'm going to fall in LOVE with this die.

A transparent pink button and Baker's Twine put the finishing touches on this card.

Thanks for visiting my blog today!  Make it a good Monday!

Birthday Balloons

Love this set from A Jillian Vance Designs.  It is called Birthday Icons and is illustrated by Becky Schultea.

Since I love coloring balloons and needed a quick card,  I stamped the balloons from AJVD Birthday Icons with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press It cardstock.  I colored the balloons with Copic markers.  The sentiment is also from the set.

Along the side, I adhered a strip of patterned paper from Jillibean Soup, sheer white ribbon, a transparent white button and purple Baker's Twine onto the card.

Eerily similar to my last posted card, no?  If it ain't broke, don't fix it, LOL.

Have a great week, all.  I have lots on my plate this week (taxes and progress reports) so I'll bop in when I can.

Clowning Around

Sassy Cheryl's, Kecia Waters, Copic markers, clown

How appropriate for April Fool's Day, eh?  (I'm not Canadian, that just came out).  Anyway, over on the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog a new challenge has been posted that is called "Just Foolin' Around".  The challenge is to use a silly Sassy Cheryl's image.  Make sure you play sometime during this two week challenge...you could win two free Sassy Cheryl's digital images.  No foolin'!

For my card, I chose to use the adorable Sassy Cheryl's digital image of "Clowning Around".  I printed it onto X-Press It cardstock and colored it with Copic markers.

The sentiment is from There She Goes and seemed just perfect to go along with this image.  The strip of patterned paper is from Jillibean Soup.  A button and Baker's Twine put the finishing touches on this card.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today!  Let's hope for a fun-filled, productive April!
