A Moosage

It's Monday! What better way is there to make a Monday more bearable, than with a Stamp of the Week from Repeat Impressions?  This week’s SOTW is called "A Moosage" (1930-I). The SOTW is available exclusively to Repeat Impressions blog readers at 50% OFF with the special discount code from Monday, January 14 to Sunday, January 20. To get the discount code and more information about the SOTW, please go to the Repeat Impressions blog, The House That Stamps Built

For my card, I inked the Repeat Impressions image portion of  "A Moosage" (1930-I) with a Memento Tuxedo Black marker and stamped onto X-Press It cardstock.  I colored the image with Copic markers and then cut around the image with my Copic markers.

Then, using a Nestabilities die, I cut an oval from the actual cover of a pad of Graphic 45 patterned paper.  I paper pierced around the oval and faux stitched with a colored pencil.  I inked the sentiment portion of "A Moosage" (1930-I) onto the oval with my Memento Tuxedo Black marker.  I added three hearts punched from a light beige cardstock and framed with a light beige scalloped oval cut from a Nestabilities die.

The larger card panel is made from patterned paper from My Mind's Eye.  It was sponged with Adirondack Latte dye and was dry embossed with a Sizzix folder.  It too was paper pierced and faux stitched, and framed with light beige cardstock.  A sheer beige ribbon and bow put the finishing touches onto this card.

I'm wondering why I took such a wonderful masculine image and used that flowery Graphic 45 oval?  Oh well.  ;-)

Kecia this is fabulous. I love the bg and the faux stitching...it looks so real and your coloring is sensational, but how did you cut the moose with your Copics? Gotta CASE this. Hugs.
