Butterflies In Flight

Dare2BArtzy, Kecia Waters, Copic markers, butterflies

This card was made as a result of me just playing around.  I stamped the butterfly image from Dare2BArtzy's "Tangle Jumpstart" with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I colored them with Copic markers, and added some shimmer with a clear Wink of Stella pen.

The background is where the playing really started.  I colored a layer of the background with a Copic marker, took a Q-tip and flicked Copic Colorless Blender fluid onto the card, randomly.  Then I added some dots, big and small blobs of ink with Copic markers.  I then took the Q-tip and dabbed on some white acrylic paint.

Framed with black cardstock, finishing touch a button tied with twine.

I had fun with it.  That's all that matters, right?

Tulips in Bloom

A Jillian Vance Design, Kecia Waters, Copic markers

It's Monday, though I'm not quite sure I'm thankful that it's Monday, LOL.  Just wanted to let you know that I'm sharing this card today on the A Jillian Vance Design blog.

The card uses the technique of masking with the tulip image from "Spring in Bloom" from AJVD.  Colored with Copics.  I'm liking the colors.  I can't really resist tulips.  That's my story.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today!  Have a great week!

Tulips in the Spring

AJVD, Kecia Waters, tulips, Copic markers

A month ago, I went to buy some fake tulips for my kitchen table because I was so fed up with the cold, snowy winter.  I needed spring.  Fast forward to today...I am so happy to see the natural signs of spring.  I do believe it has finally arrived.

This card celebrates spring.  It is CAS, and I just love the red, black and white combination.  Gets me every time.

You can read all about this card on the A Jillian Vance Design blog today.

Wishing you a very pleasant week.  Take time to enjoy the signs of spring.

Easter Dachshund Pop Up Box Card

Kecia Waters, Copic markers

Just now getting this posted.  I made it yesterday to give to my Mom.  It's my first pop up box card.  I followed the wonderful tutorial by Dina on Splitcoaststampers.

Stamps used include Cowtown, Whimsie Doodles, and dollar stamps from Michaels.  Patterned paper from Pebbles and DCWV.  I used a MFT die for the grass, some acetate to get the Peep to float and a Viva Ice White Pearl pen for the bunny tail and "pearls" around the sentiment.

My Mom seemed to love it.

The hardest part of the whole project was photographing it, LOL.

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter!  Thanks for visiting my blog.

Waddle I Do

Some Odd Girl, Kecia Waters, Copic markers, duck
Love this digital image called "Duck In Boots" from Some Odd Girl.  Colored with Copic markers and fussy cut.  The sentiment is from There She Goes.  Patterned paper is from Basic Gray (dots), and the striped paper is an unknown scrap.  All layers and elements framed with kraft cardstock.  The circle was cut with a Nestabilities die, and then sponged with Memento Desert Sand.  The scalloped circle was also cut with a Nestabilities die. A button with twine was added to the card for the finishing touch.

In no way does this card make me an Oregon Duck Fan.  I'm just a fan of cute ducks in rain boots.  GO BUCKEYES!
