You've Got Game

Have you participated in the current Sassy Cheryl's Challenge "All About Hearts"?  If your answer is "no"...why not?  Two free digital images from Sassy Cheryl's are up for grabs to one lucky participant.  You really can't beat that.

I decided to make a card that celebrates and represents the hearts of Buckeye fans and the heart of the men's basketball Buckeyes...senior Aaron Craft.  He's pretty much amazing both on and off the court and will be sorely missed after this season.  I thought I'd make this card in his honor before the ever-so-intense month of March is here, LOL.

To make this card, I stamped the Kraftin' Kimmie basketball player from the "You've Got Game" set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press It cardstock.  I colored the image with Copic markers (rosy cheeks are intentional!).  I cut around the image with an emerald backdrop die from A Jillian Vance Design.  I sponged around the panel with Marvy Grey dye, and framed with scarlet cardstock.  The sentiment is from the Kraftin' Kimmie set.

The Buckeye leaves are also cut from the emerald backdrop die from A Jillian Vance Design.  A button serves as the buckeye, with a little of Buckeye Blend Divine Twine tied onto it (also from A Jillian Vance Design).

The larger card panel is from The Paper Studio and is framed with scarlet cardstock.  An Ohio State strip sticker was placed along the left edge of the card.

I'm thinking this card could meet the current challenge on Kraftin Kimmie's blog, Unconventional Valentines.

Thanks for visiting my blog today.  Go Buckeyes!!!

Kecia, love your card and of course your coloring is gorgeous. I will give you your Buckeyes, but I have to love my Jayhawks BB since I used to live in Kansas and Nebraska is still close enough to keep that spirit alive and well.
