Stampin' Sisterhood, Mummy's Day

Today marks the first day of this month's Stampin' Sisterhood Challenge from Rubbernecker Stamps! You will have the entire month of May to complete the challenge.  At the end of the month, we will crown some deserving papercrafter May's Sunday Sister and that sister will get receive a free stamp set of her choice from Rubbernecker. So head on over to the Sisterhood Blog for all of the details and get crafting!

This month's challenge is a sketch:

For my creation, I decided to make a card for the upcoming holiday of Mother's Day.  I stamped the Rubbernecker image of "Mummy"  (SKU:474-01) onto X-Press It cardstock three times with Marvy black dye ink. I colored the mummies with Copic markers and I then proceeded to cut around each one with my Cutter-bee scissors.  I then stamped a small portion of "Flower Basket" (SKU: 532-11) and cut so that one of the mummies could have some flowers.

I sponged Whispers Whisper Pink dye ink onto three square panels of white cardstock and framed them with black cardstock.  The mummies were added to these with Pop-Dots.

Patterned paper from Echo Park make up the large panel of this card.  It was paper pierced and faux stitched with a white colored pencil.  It was framed with black cardstock.

The sentiment was computer-generated directly onto the Echo Park paper.  Baker's Twine was added for a finishing touch.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  If you are a "Mummy", enjoy your special day next Sunday!
